Two things I feel would help this game are presets and account splits.
Presets: It would be great if you could select a mech or a chassis for drop. If you select a mech it will search for a match based on preselected criteria: type and map. Longer queues but your mech could be optimized, including camo, for the selection. If you chassis then all mechs of that type, say Vindicators, are available to drop but the on that drops will be based on the map. So I could have a SIB drop if Alpine peaks is selected or a 1X if River City comes up.
Account splits: I will pay real money to split my account. This way I could have one clan and one IS. Or I could have one for each IS faction and clan. The argument against would be someone could play both sides o act as a spy or tker in CW. But given the randomness of drops and the penalties for tk it would not make much sense. I have played other PvP games where this was a worry, but when the restriction was lifted it turned out to be much ado about nothing.

In ArcheAge it actually is an issue as you can buy land on the enemy faction continent and then trade it over, meaning you get essentially free trading across continents when it should be quite hazardous.

Starting a separate Clan account is one of the best decisions I've made playing this game. For so many reasons. I predicted it would take forever for PGI to allow players to have separate pilots on the same accounts, and I was correct.
I agree that they should let players split their accounts. It has many advantages, both for the users and for PGI. (For one thing, buying modules for multiple accounts is a big C-bill sink, which is good for PGI)
