Note it's 4:29am in the morning ok, so if you're wondering "wtf"... yeah.
Ok so, are there any scientific type of nerds here that could give a somewhat legitimate explanation regarding what would actually happen to a mech if it walked through or over lava? For example, some of the little rivers seem quite shallow and it would only be a step or two. What would happen? Would it just clump to the foot like mud or snoe on a shoe? What about the deeper part, below ring? Would the mech just sink and melt? Would the internals just catch fire? If so, how fast?
You can also answer based on BT/MW lore (from novel references etc).

It depends on how deep it is, really. Mech armor is fairly heat resistant to thousands of degrees. CBT has rules for getting bogged down in lava, which can be shortened to 'you die!'

Raw iron melts at about 2700°F, steel around 2500°F, surface lava flows are usually a bit cooler than that 1200°F to 1600°F, but magma under the surface or close to the eruption can be hotter 2000°F ++, but still probably not hot enough to melt something like a mech/tank. Would sink for sure if deep enough though.
This coke can survived contact with lava for quite a while and it's just a flimsy little bit of aluminium, so a mech might be ok for a while.

Check these out:
So the molten orange and yellow areas in the center could be like walking through molasses or melted marshmellows, and really should be much deeper with greater heat impact for its size. I can easily see it muck up the lower legs as it cools on the exterior armor panels.
Areas outside the center with black top, could be like walking on say a foam mat with a hard top, so you should be able to feel the mech sink in a bit due to their weights.
Spoiler
