I dont know if all of the people on this forum know where to play there old Mech type games but here it is
www.gameranger.com it is a simple version of the old MSN gamming zone.You can play MechCommander,MechCommander2,Mechwarrior3,Mechwarrior3 PiratesMoon,Mechwarrior4Vengeance,Mechwarrior4BlackKnight,Mechwarrior4Mercinaries,
Mechwarrior4MercinariesPR1,and the Mechwarrior4Mercenaries Free Mektek version also.

Here are the instructions to get the Mektek Free version to work on GameRanger

First go to gameranger.com download client and make account.The activation email will sometimes come in a junk folder.Activate your account and startup gameranger.
Visit www.mektek.net and download a free copy of Mechwarrior Mercinaries through the MTX or torrunt programs update it to version 3.1/30a-30c
Next go to your hardrive where your free copy of the Mektek mercinaries is installed(C:D:ECT\programfiles\mektek.net folder).
Next rename the folder(mektek.net)folder to (Mektek) delete the (.net).
Next go inside the newly renamed (mektek) folder and find the folder(Mercenaries-Mektek Mekpack)
Next rename the folder (Mercenaries-Mektek Mekpack) to (MercenariesMektek)all one word then go back to GameRanger on the gameranger bronze page go to edit then options find the game Mechwarrior Mercinaries on the games tab highlight it on list then hit the brows tab to open it point your link to your new C:\program files\mektek\MercinariesMektek\MW4mercs.exe
thats it now you can play on gameranger.

I would hope to see more of you on gameranger to let the community know where still here and ready to play MWO when it comes out.So dust off those old CD'S and lets rumble.IF no old cd's go to Mektek and grab the MTX downloader or torrents and install the free mercs version.

Thats the Spirit lets see how many we can get only this weekend.If you have a different name on GameRanger than on MWo please list who you are thanks.

Also once you have Gameranger installed go to your GAmeranger bronze page in the center you will see a TAB (All Games) use the small arrow on this tab then go Make new group call it MECH,Mechgames,ect then go down the list and check all the Mechwarrior or Mecha games you like this will make a mech group so only the games you checked will show on the GameRanger bronze page.You can also use this tab to see all the games you have installed that will play on GameRanger under (My Games).

Hey where are all the players on this forum that want to play before MWO comes out?I see you talking on the forums why not come out and get set up for MW4mercs or any mw3-mw4mercs retail and play and practice on gameranger.You can set up your server to play any timeline and mechs weapons you want to mimic what MWO will somewhat be like in 3050,plus you can practice your tactics and aiming,ect.

i've tried this but, i didn't worked for me, i can't see any game created for MW4

Just a thought, the MW4: Mercs is spelled Mechwarrior MERCENARIES, not Mechwarrior MERCINARIES

Mechwarrior and Gameranger hates me!

Yesterday i tried Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries. I was able to strat the game but when i clicked on a button my pc freezes.
Okay no problem. I can fix that later. Afterthat we tried Mech Commander 2. Noone was able to connect to each other.
After 1 hour of fails i installed Mech Commander 1. Nice game, everything was fine. Until today. I found a room for Mech Commander 1 and joined it. Everything is fine until we get to the point where i want to purchase some mechs. The PC freezes and the whole **** continued!

Screw you Game Ranger! I will use Hamachi from now on!

Screw you Mechwarior4! I will wait for MW:O!

We got him(Grayson Pryde) going he was playing with us the other day it was his router and firewall that was the issue not Gameranger and he had a great time playing.

I just wanted to say thanks to all the people here on MW:0 that are playing on GameRanger and i added alot on new GamePlay Clips on my Utube page for all to see.

Hey KingCobra, do you need a special mod for coop missions like the one on Talon?

I dropped with you guys, but the game told me I was missing a mission file or something.
