Ebon Jaguar and Executioner already have their art done but the others aren't quite done because Russ changed the pack pretty late.

I feel like I was punished by buying Clan Wave 2... 3 bad to ho-hum mechs and only one great one. Several potentially great mechs in this pack.

well russ said he isn't limiting himself to mechs that will only be good since they can buff bad mechs later.
so never know, maybe quirks and some other stuff will make Clan Wave 2's mechs better.

The Ebon Jaguar is probably going to have all of the worst of the Nova hitboxes (big arms and big torsos) combined with the worst part (missile racks) of the Timberwolf.

But will have both endo and FF, as well as higher-mounted weapons compared to the Nova and Timberwolf (arms on level with the cockpit, with missile pods and torso lasers slightly elevated).

Sure, but it's basically a 65 ton Timberwolf with more locked in JJs and without the good hitboxes. And compared to the Hellbringer it doesn't get ECM. The Hellbringer has less pod space, but ECM is huge.

I will get it because I think I'll probably get all 4, but I don't see it being hugely useful when you can choose ECM or a Timber

Thats not how things work around here Brody. We start judging the effectiveness as soon as they're announced and then call them DOA weeks before they're introduced.

Cauldron Born doesn't have JJs.....
It also should have all weapon mounts in line with the cockpit which is a huge advantage. The only problem would be if it maintains the glass jaw it had in MW4 or like the Jenner and Cicada have.

Yay....a mech that's same speed as ice ferret, less armor and completely useless in CW.

Firemoth would have given us at least a good fast mech.
