I have tried 255XLx, 280XLs and even a 300XL and even thought the speeds are respectable 82.6kph to 97 kph without speed tweak these mechs seem slow and not very agile. It honestly feels more sluggish than the Shadowhawk. Hopefully getting it elited helps. Wanted to love these guys. They are somewhat ok.

Anyone else feel this?

They kind of feel like more fragile Centurions. I've started hanging near the back for about the first half of the engagement, and trying not to butt heads until the enemy's engaged, but yeah: even though they're more agile than Cents, they feel...sluggish - that's a good word.

The vindicators felt the same way to me until I elited them. It makes a huge difference. Waiting to see if it does with the Enforcers as well.

You have no unlocks to Basics right now.
Which means you don't have the 55% faster acceleration, 50% faster brake, 35% faster turning rates, etc.

The new P variant should have been an XL390 no JJ variant, that would have set it apart, and make the 4 MG 1 LL viable.

no chassis will ever make that combination viable.

Why do you say things that you know will hurt my Locust 1V?

I feel like they are a bit slower than they should be, but I also feel that way about Cents, something about the motion of the cockpit makes it feel like I am going super slow. However I do really like JJ's on them. To me it feels a lot like a cent, but with JJ's.

Will wait till they are all elited to pass final judgement though

Seem slow, yes, but in practice they're about as nimble as I'd expect from a faster-than-average-but-not-blistering 50 tonner. The biggest thing I've noted is that the sensation of moving seems off from what's actually happening; a -5D or -5P moving at 105 feels like it's lumbering along, then you realise the Panther behind you is having trouble closing the distance and remember everything is okay.

That is it exactly Sparks, the mech obviously numbers-wise is fine, but the feel is a bit slow/sluggish. Once again, have to see how it is in the end, but the thing that struck me was that my Tbolt felt more "agile" out of the box (not elited) if you will even though my Tbolts are slower by the numbers.

Kinetic Burst and Hard Brake make all the difference in the world. I took out a Warhawk last night for the first time ever. It drifted down hill like a car without brakes. Felt soooo sluggish compared to my Dire Wolf!

That being said, some mechs ARE sluggish compared to others. So also: Kit Fox, Adder, etc.

The seem slow part is the pacing sound and motion. For those who have piloted assaults like the highlander and the atlas, even if both are going the same speed the highlander's sound and motion makes it seem as it is moving faster.

Even going fast the Enforcer feels slow. It's rather weird like that, but once you get speed tweak it's ok. My 5D with a 300XL felt a little slow before speed tweak, even though I was going almost 98 kph.

That aside, played as a skirmisher, it's surprisingly tanky, and spreads damage like a boss. I've limped out of fights with pretty much all my armor stripped, but still packing functional weapons.

even with an XL255 engine, it feels speedier than a Centurion with the same engine. torso twist rate is good, augmented further by the presence of jump jets. it's a p. mobile mech and I don't really understand where the people claiming it "feels slow" are coming from.

Compare it to the Trebuchet, which has a more similar speed profile to the Enforcer. The Trebuchet has a fair bit of cockpit travel during a run, and it's steps are quicker, while the Enforcer doing the same speed is more stable and has slower, longer steps. Functionally the same, but the emotional vibe of them is different: the Treb is jittery, while the Enforcer glides around purposefully. To be frank, I actually prefer that in a sniping platform.

To me they feel more like hunchies that can jump...without the hunch of course.
