The hanging cocpit item for the "24 event" that represents the launch of the game, was suppose to be unique to show support was given for the launch of the game out of beta... now this item is no longer special? Really? Anyone else feel like they cut a cheap corner and degraded some of the reason some of us stay dedicated? It will no longer show that "I WAS THERE" when MW:O went live and came out of beta.

Why didn't they change the icon? It had unique value for a specific event... Is everything special about our past support going to be recycled?

The bloody thing was annoying as hell anyway. Equipped it few times, never did it again.

I hadn't seen it in a while, Guess I should check. Seems like a stupid idea to do that.

people complain about everything...

they never said it was unique and onetime and so on, it was just a challenge price, nothing more. now you can get a second one.

It doesn't say "I was there at launch!", it says "24" - not more, not less.

Equipping cockpit items is pointless until they have global cockpit items (instead of having X number that you have to swap around your mechs). It just makes sense to do this if the point of the game is to "Catch em' all"!

It is simply a participation trophy.

It is what it is.

Ya, the second time around, the little badge should be tarnished at least, or otherwise distinguishable from the original.

Throwing it out there again is just a slap in the face to those who wish to hang the original with pride. I don't hang those things because they give me vertigo, but I can see where they should be different.

Personally, I'm happy at the chance to get an item I missed out on.

I always wanted a second one without having to pay for it.

All I had to do was just show up for 24 matches, win, loose, or draw.

This time I got to really work for it.

Just wait until you can win a founder's Atlas in the next event.

Wow. People really will complain about anything. You're not special because you started playing this game before others. The one thing above all others you should have over those who haven't been playing since CBT/launch is the only thing that truly matters - SKILL.

So few people equip cockpit items anyway and even fewer will see them for the ones that do. So this little hanging trinket you feel makes you so special, maybe 1% of the people who were ever in matches with you ever saw it.

Still feel special?

Im hoping this is a first step to bring stuff like this back, I want to get the fairy and the coconut monkey. Make it seasonal or tied to special yearly events or something,

What's the point of special bling if you're just gonna re-release it later when you feel like it?

I'd also like to get my hands on some of the fancy cockpit items.. But I completely agree with Vassago that making them available later cheapens them. I also think that the impetus to play/buy/whatever, for promo reward items, is hugely reduced, when you can be pretty sure you'll have another chance to win them at some later date. Loyalty mechs are a perfect example.

I'd like to see new cockpit items for challenges from time to time, not re-used ones.

That's why you just use the free ones they give you and stick it in some mech you're playing at the time! It's even better then if you don't use it for a while then come back and be like eyyy hula girl what's happenin.

So many jealous people.

Yeah, there is a certain sense of pride of being on the ground floor of something. Yes there should be something that distinguishes early adopters who took a chance and supported the development of this game.

But hen I am responding to people who do not, or act like they do not, or think it I cool to act like they do not, care or appreciate anything. I am happy that you have joined us, but don't try and diminish the fact that your ability to play now Is based upon my playing then.
