Does anyone think we'll see the uncommon quad mechs? I have no clue as to how you'd pilot them, but is it even possible to add in properly without them being too much of a hassle to use?

requires basically building them from the ground up.

The amount of animation work and game engine changes required to to build them means it isn't worth the effort, especially considering there are only like two valid models.
If you could get some sort of pre-buy test like the Urbie pack it would be a maybe but the price would probably need to be 5-10x the Urbie pack pricing to make it worth the effort.

Nope, they can't even get the biped mechs to work right. They would need extraterrestrial assistance to put quadrupeds in this game.

Animating quad models properly is more difficult than MWO's staff can handle.
Take that as you will. But it means no Scorpions or Goliaths, fun as those might be.

Ok, that's an over exaggeration . They just don't feel very Mechwarrior to me, so I would rather PGI not introduce them to the game.

I would pay quite a bit of cash to get a Scorpion or Goliath. Just saying I'd like to give PGI my money. Though, I will admit, that most of the visual designs of the quad mechs are terrible. I pretty much only like the previous mentioned mechs and the Stalking Spider.

I know Its just that we totaly had 3d modelled quad mechs on 3d landscapes in 1997, and it worked fine. Lostech, no less.
Damn games were good in 1997... *shed a tear while daydreaming about TotalA (best strategy game ever)*
Creativity is a real world Lostech.

There's only 2 quads we could get right now, and each only has 2 variants.

Not many Mech are adding something to the game if you wanna take that path.
And a four legged Mech would be very different than what we have now btw (in driving skills at least), so it would add at least another sort of Mech to pilot (like a 5th class). Urbie is bringing 360° torso rotation, is that better?

Actually I would have to agree with you there, not many of the new mechs are adding much to the game (IMO).
As for the Urbie: don't get me started. It's supposed to be a low powered 'field loads of the buggers' and pray' unit, not a viable one-on-one mech. It's OP vs sauce and it's fetishisation annoys me.
