As always. my full support stands with adding Narc ammo as a disposable siesmic sensor when shot at the ground for a limited time. 15 seconds, say.

Outside of that, I can see land mines being the next, most likely consumable.
I'd be interesting in seeing some kind of EMP, where it takes out an enemy mech from their team's radar, and disables any tracking they have on you, and makes their hud go all wacky. I think it'd be very useful as a scout if you're stuck in a pile of enemy mechs, and need to make a quick get away. Pop the EMP and hoof it.

I'm just bantering ideas around, but simply put it'd be neat if we could in some way remove enemy mechs from their team's radar, and basically blackout their communication with their team. So they can't see his health dropping, or see who he is targeting.

And also a consumable that can help you disengage enemies, maybe it'll be a combination of disabling thermal and nightvision, and deploying a smoke screen, and scattering radar. I think it'd be powerful enough to be effective, and a one-time use would make it so you would only use it if you really need it.

I would like to see the selection of available consumable options increased. How about Smoke screen, mine field, motion detectors, portable turret, drones, trip wire mines etc etc.

Maps are currently far too small, and lines-of-sight far too easily available, to make these worthwhile. Mech weapons are far more efficient.

If PGI ever expands into real BT maps...large, dense, and requiring real scouting...then yeah, I'd see PGI going for these.

If Arty and Air Strikes "work," then so can a mine. Same thing, it just activates differently.

Any other ideas out there?

Some of these could be a good game changer, how about mine field on skirmish mode, might make a team think twice about doing the right had circle tactic that is SO prevalent.
Or smoke screen when you are on caustic and find your self in the open with the LRM rain coming down?

I want to see new weapon types, but I don't want to see more consumables

There really could be more miscellaneous consumables that dont do damage. Emp mine, as suggested, smoke screen or deployable seismic sensor. Other than that, i dont we need any more strikes or the like.
