For anyone who doesn’t know, YES there was a Battletech/MechWarrior cartoon.

Well, the other day I found the old Battletech cartoon and I watched all thirteen episodes through and remembered just how awesome the series was when I first saw it (Pity they didn’t make any more.). So, for the good of anyone who hasn’t seen this epic of a cartoon, I give you the link:

Go watch it or I’ll go get the memes from the other thread to make you! The guy has all thirteen episodes up on his channel so there’s no excuse not to watch. I don’t know if he’s breaching some ancient copyright or not, but all I know is he’s got them up there so we may as well enjoy them.

Of course! I wouldn't be the Mechwarrior I am today without that cartoon!

I watched it a month or two ago, it's entertaining though I find the lack of death unrealistic. Yes I know it's tame because it was the 1990s.

I only remember seeing a couple of tidbits. Some guy in a beard driving a warhammer? (I think?) saying

"Santa is bringing presents for all the good girls and boys" And dropping off a supply of rifles that were strapped to his mech's back.

I found the 3D 'battle vision' to be kinda..silly. I prefered the mechs traditionally animated.

I'm weird!

I have some of the toys! Haha namely the red mech (forgot the name) that the Falcon Leader uses, and a Mad Cat I think, and a Nova Cat(?).

I thought the show was only so-so, but the toys were great fun.

Hell. I still have the 1st Somerset Strikers Sourcebook, where they had to make up game rules for all the crap in the cartoon, and fix the lore they mangled.

The CGI in the cartoon was REVOLUTIONARY at the time. It is only cheesy now because CGI gets dated so quickly.

They toys were also state of the art at the time. The entire series had launching projectiles, as opposed to only one or two "projectile shooting models" of existing toys, and they had hit plates that caused the Mech to eject or explode, rockemsockem style.

The toys for the cartoon were the best thing about the cartoon!

It's laughably bad in some areas, but flying a freaking AXMAN around in SPACE?! Badass to infinity! Pretty close to the Battletech universe too considering it was a kids show. I agree with the above, the battles looked way better when they were drawn. Not a fan of the CGI idea.

Megas XLR is still the best robot cartoon though. :P

This show is how I got into battletech. i do agree rewatching it now there are some laughable scenes and they didn't get the clans right ,but I did love the toys. I remember having the axeman, mauler, inflitrator, sloth, elemental, and summoner/thor
