I just ran my Arrow through my usual test of Forest Colony, and it nearly set a record!

The test:

1) Run Forest Colony (normal) on testing grounds
2) Run from mech to mech, coring out the CT on each as fast as you can. There are 8 in total. You are NOT allowed to shoot them in the back or headshot. Front CT only.
3) Decent builds typically can run it in under 3 minutes. Good builds can run it in under 2:30. Deadly builds can do it in 2 minutes.

The test takes into account speed, heat management, firepower and DPS so usually favors fast ballistic runners or cool short range brawlers.

Very slow assaults can take over 3 minutes, in which case I have to determine whether to keep the build and try again, or improve the engine and give it another run.

The Arrow with my usual config could do it in 2:10-15 before the newest quirks, usually outclassed by my SHD-2H with 2xAC5, 1xAC2 and a XL255 which could do it at about 2:00.

A stupidly OP mech like the FS9-A with 8xSPL can do 1:50-2:00 consistently.

My clan laser vomit mech of choice, the Hellbringer Prime with 2xLPL, 5xERSL can do it in 2:00.

The new quirks allowed me to run the course in 1:55 with my first try. Outstanding. The MG range increases, the heat and duration reduction and energy range increase all contributed to making the mech so much better.

My preferred build

Thanks PGI. These quirks were just what the Arrow needed. :)
