I think Russ mentioned in the town hall that it's still bugged as hell.

And I really hope the framerate is stable when it comes back, too. Playing that map at 12fps was rage inducing.

awhile back i challenged myself to master all the locusts, which i finished up a few hours ago. i then sold all of them except the pirates bane.
the 1v is probibly my least favorite. running 2mg and a erll seemed to work best.
the one with the 4 missile hardpoints (forget the number) was another good one. i would run 4ssrm2s and a tag, was a great little dogfighter. i typically used it to hunt lights, doing an artemis srm2 build occured to me, but i never tried it.
the pirates bane is just great. i decided to take off the machine guns right away because they kind of messed up my vision by putting those big muzzel flashes in my view. i think i have it set up with 3mpls and it is a great little murder machine. running 4 mls is also a good build, also 2 of each was fun.
the 3m was the last one i lvled. i had trouble finding a good loadout for it. ended up running it as an iron dome with dual ams with both ams modules, with only a couple medium lasers.
the rest were kind of meh and didnt leave a lasting impression. i have since sold all of them except the bane, and probibly 4 other mechs as well that were only purchased to level others. now i have 8 empty mech bays (7 after i bought a whale) to fill up. might try spiders and firestarters after i master all 3 whales (which is still going to require another 35 million cbills),

I'm finding the six SPL build to be better for me than the six ML. I'm very used to the ML build from the Jenner-F but it just doesn't feel right on the Locust. My aim isn't what it used to be either so the very low burn time of the pulse lasers is nice.
I don't know if the LCT is really over quirked. I've had really good games in it but more often is that instant death, low/no damage game. If PGI's is trying to make all Mechs viable, then some of those that really suffer from the game format will need this sort of boost. It's certainly no Firestarter, but it's a very fun alternative to the underquirked Jenner's for me.

Slap 6 Medium lasers and its one of the meanest predators on the field. Can pop in and slam a 30 point alpha where it hurts, twice in a row, and keep running.
You get in there hard and fast... You fire your first alpha and see the target light up...You fire for the second time and nothing happens. Not sure if the damage registered or not, you do a 180, trying to get the hell outta there. But an enemy light has come too close and you collide with it. Now the server tries to figure out if its going to let you througt or if you'll need to back up, but all you see is yourself rubberbanding. Then you 're dead...
Isn't that more accurate?
