As the title says.
Never used "f" and had no problem before the hotfix.

Now I still dont use "f" and twisting is weired as hell. Whenever I turn the legs (a or d) AND twist the torso it sometimes accelerates/overshoots. Hard to describe. It feels extermely weired. Like heavily fluctuating sensitivity with a bit of lag added to it.

With adv. zoom I suddenly cant aim at all while turning the legs, my aim is all over the place and anyone spectating me must come to the conclusion Im not human but a squirrell on a meth-caffein mix with the occasional spasm thrown in.

So, question is: Am I really a drugged out squirrell with involuntary convulsions or did the patch brake it for others too?

edit: Its in there without moving the legs at all. Just noticed it. Wow thats wrong.

I noticed this as well. Definitely overshooting targets now. There is a 1/4 second lag after I stop moving my mouse where the torso continues to move.

I'll agree, as stated in another thread...it def seems different. It seems like something I can get used to but. it's a strange feeling at first.

Agreed. The torso twisting is extremely "heavy" now. It's much harder to do precise movements. I hope it gets fixed!

Hmm, if this sticks maybe I'll plug my joystick back in, because you are describing how a joystick feels in this game.

Why not go right for pro-level and use a steering wheel? :) :).
Maybe PGI already prepares the game for the wheel-using masses from steam :P.

Your torso simply acts as if you had arm lock off. Your torso is trying to point to where you arms would be if you had arms unlocked. Even though your arms haven't moved.

It's extremely annoying, performance breaking and needs to be fixed soon.

Also if you move your mouse while powering up, your torso will move on its own once you are online. Just as if you moved your arms while you were offline.

^ exactly that. I didn't think of it that way but this is exactly how it is behaving. I can imagine an invisible circle indicating where my arms would be crossing the torso reticle before it decides to stop turning left and start turning right.

It is weird though because I notice this behavior in both my stalker and my crab which don't have left/right actuators.

Mount a LBX-10 to that bus for teh crits and your life is complete.

On Topic: Will there be another hotfix for that or do we have to wait until the next "regular" patch?

PGI dont you have QC people to test the patch and hotfix before they go live? because its starting to look like you dont. going from epic screen shake when centering feet to torso to broken mech that arm turns right ,torso turns right and keeps turning right an wont stop

No way they have any real QC going on patches. Bugs can and do happen, thats why even what seems to be a small and simple patch should be tested. Some are hard to reproduce and slip through, not a big deal.
That weird twisting is one could have been cought by just playing a single game. Which they obviously did not do.

But then, adding a single line of displayed text per target shouldnt ever break the HUD/target boxes. So all bets are off on how big the mess is in their code.

It's useful to toggle on when you're lining up a big pinpoint alpha, but I can't imagine people who would leave it turned on by default even when they're not trying to fire a big alpha...

yes, with laserboats its the best way to concentrate the whole damage on a single component, since the toggle button exists now,why the hell not.

not sure what "f" is cause I don't use the keyboard. I love the responsiveness of the new torso twist and hope it doesn't change.

Yes, I'm getting it to and it's terribly annoying. Makes it hard to swing my torso around.

Yes, absolutely. I unlock my arms with shift only when I need to. The reason is simple: It's harder to coordinate the movements of two cursors than one. I unlock my arms only when I need them to be unlocked, which happens maybe once every few games depending on my chassis (sometimes my Wolverine needs to shoot 180 degrees behind it).

Someone from PGI should make a The Daily WTF post about this ... that is if they actually have programmers.
