I also wish to mention (again) to reconsider closing down the wormhole project. I wish to remind that, once it's closed, it will be gone for good. There will probably not be another wormhole to be exploited. It may be best to keep at least some (not many) planets over there for Marik. This can form a buffer zone or a fall back plan if the Clans fight their way up to that point. It would provide another faction to be able to attack them.

If Marik wanted to have the wormhole stay open, they shouldn't have voted to back stab Kurita tonight. It would have been great to keep it around for the exact reason you stated, but now it is a risk, not an advantage. I wish it didn't have to be this way, but I doubt it will change now.

I'm sorry, what? Are you ACTUALLY lecturing Marik for not fighting the Clans when all you have done the last few weeks is RUN from them by attacking south into Davion space?

Nope. I'm lecturing Marik for trying to defend against the wormhole closure when they explicitly agreed to return them whenever we wanted.

One match does not make all the matches losses.

Anyway, it looks to me like that was an enjoyable match, and a close one even. Means it was a very good match, win or lose.

Unfortunately, with loose cannon merc units around like MS, Marik doesn't have control over how much the wormhole island would expand. Naturally, this makes the DCMS uneasy as we did not want an additional front to have to deal with. Tonight's events proved that we were right to not trust Marik leadership.

Kurita has been wantign to close the Wormhole for over a week now. How is anything we did or didn't do tonight have any bearign on that?

Lol it was MS that pouched the worm hole. Why marik decided to defend its closing is beyond me, but itll be over quick. NS/NKVA on average has at least 1 premade dropping from 7pm to 4am lol.

Roadbeer et all literally tried a full on attack on our wormhole bordering planets tonight and we stomped their faces in.

"Hey guys, even if we're fighting each other, can we at least try to keep it civil."

Yeah, that's a very immature attitude to have.

Actually, it is.

Wasn't the leadership dude, look at our forums, there was a nice poll, declaration of war (which I didn't agree with because we'll leave making wordy, nonsensical posts of intent to the Kuritans) all kinds of good stuff.

This is what happens when I leave my computer for a few days. But its nice to know our members were on the same page about this.
"**** those guys" I think was the general sentiment.

I logged in to 48 attackers on our marik front. So basically someone decided that they wanted to keep our wormhole open and send us a message for not joining the little star league.

And to be honest, it didn't have much bearing on our plans to close the wormhole. The offenders got their **** stomped and we still took our other planet back. But it did start a shitstorm :)

Because Loyalist units from Marik actually attacked out on orders instead of allowing it to be closed...not that we needed their permission as it was. Lol

It was a liability ever since the MS attack. The idea that it could stay open for any reason after that was ridiculous. If MS ever decided to come back and attack that front again Marik would be completely powerless to stop them just like they were the first time. It's done nothing productive. It's pointless. That's why the decision to close it was unanimous.

Some [redacted] who thinks he has our best interests in mind decided to get our pilots riled up and launch a massed assault on Kurita. It backfired and now [redacted] is trying to play it off as some sort of test of Kurita's loyalty. How you test loyalty by punching your friend in the back of the head and distracting them from more important issues is beyond me.

But, then again, I'm not the Captain General and logic is for *******. Kurita is rightfully angry, even if the attitudes of some of their members are pathetic.

Word of Blake when? I want to get out of this chickenshit outfit as the politics from the IS houses are getting tedious and boring at best.

Basically from what I have gathered from this mess of a thread is that Marik is being dumb. Why am I not surprised.
