Hello Mr. Pwnface, and other members of the DCMS.

I wish to state, unequivocoally, that the Marik Peoples and leadership formally greet the members of the Red Lizard Peoples! May you ever have a rock upon which to bask in the hot sun.

With that out of the way, i would like to state that I have been tasked in brokering a peace between the Red Lizard Peoples and the Great and Mighty House of the Purple Eagle.

Whilst I admit, there was some confusion surrounding the Planet Athenry, please allow me to explain. As the preeminent Robot on Man-Bird Relations (and currently in a fellowship to further my studies in Lizard-Bird Relations), when we here at the Word of Lowtax decided to trade Green Birds for Purple, we were immediately contacted by the Stealth Shadow Supreme Marik Super Government. I understand that this might be a bit of an OPSEC breach, and concerning to some of you, but in an attempt to broker a peace between our two peoples, I feel that it is now time to lay all of the cards on the table.

The S3MSG felt that it was necessary, given the fact that were were tasked to beta test the new VOIP solution prior to this most recent patch, to conduct a meeting in game (on the test server of course). It was a bit of a struggle, what with the low bit rate and all, and I suspect that when someone stated "We should Invade, Anders," it was construed as "We should invade Athenry."

So, yeah, that happened. As they say on the street, "My Bad."

What about the other planets? Well, you see, once a bird gets a taste for meat, they can never go back, and I mean, it was so easy to do and all, before we knew it, the deeds were done.

But I digress. Now is not the time to point fingers at who was right and who was wrong, and simply move forward in a spirit of reconciliation and peace. I understand that there are some ruffled feathers (no pun intended), and hurt cloacas, but this is nothing that cannot be rectified in due course. I fully expect that everyone who has the capacity to do so should PM me in an effort to broker a peace between the Great Lizards and the Great Birds of the Inner Sphere.

In closing, "I invite you to sit down at the table of peace and Squawk or Hiss as you see fit." I will be there to "Squawk!" I say, it feels good to do that again.

We here at The Word of Lowtax thank you for your thread. We here at the Word of Lowtax realize that you have limited entertainment electrons and appreciate that you're spending your entertainment electrons. Please continue to choose the Word of Lowtax in your future electron spending! We are grateful for your out of the box, blue-sky thinking, and appreciate you touching base with us here at the Word of Lowtax. We hope to synergize our efforts to achieve quantifiable paradigm redefinitions in a future collaboration soon.

As always, I humbly remain:

Robotically Yours,
Anders

Hahahahaha - these NKVA guys are hilarious, though: seriously, your kind of snarkiness would be appreciated over here in Steinerland.

I'm convinced Steiner is one of the coolest factions right now precisely because they have no central command structure. You guys seem alright.

The problem is as the week went on and there was sucess on the clan border it seemed like you guys abandoned it. That may not be true but that is how it seemed. I know that played a huge part in why we personally left.

Yeah I think it really discouraged a lot of our members when they were fighting Clanners and it seemed like no-one wanted to help

If we're the bad guy, and the bad guy never wins, then why is Altiar the only marik planet left in the wormhole?

Wasn't part of HK's descion not to join the nSL to sidestep diplomatic blowouts like this happening on our end? Because if we did agree to join the nSL then all it would take would be a board 12-man or two to go bully the Davions and we would have been tossed out as soon as we were let in. Joining with the nSL would have meant making promises we know we couldn't keep. So we simply decided that keeping to ourselves was better for everyone rather than flat out lying to our prospective allies, correct?

It was one reason, yes.
Anything HK does is immediately portrayed in a bad light as you can see.

Even though we continue to be upfront we get slandered.

Just imagine if HK coordinated this unprovoked attack.
I can guarantee that we wouldn't be able to use "miscommunication" or "misuse of power within the house" as an excuse.

Facts
1)You voted to remove yourselves from the SLDF
2) You told everybody publicly that you would continue attacking Davion
3) You broke every agreement you had with Marik
4) When we tried to help u in your struggle against the clans by leaving your border alone for a 2 week period end of January beginning of February, at the request of 9th SD, you decided to repay us by attacking us with out provocation or warning and then NS and NKVA specifically decided to trash talk all Davion units and basically treat every one they came in contact with in a very unsportsmanlike manner..Including units that don't even speak back to you during game..You continue to do this to this day...
5) You have generally treated every unit, other than the house units, that have come to your space like inferior people and have treated your friends and enemies alike with disdain and condescending attitudes.
6) You have taken advantage of the fact that Davion population is low to force your way into Davion Space...Remember we tried working with you before our population went to crap...

1) So? We are our own house and will work towards our own goals. We don't want to be told what to do by the armchair generals and mercenaries that make up the star league.
2) So? Is that supposed to be a bad thing? This is community warfare why would we not attack Davions?
3) Uhhh no? How so?
4) That was not an official HK request. Someone saying that doesn't mean anything and no one in either unit was aware of such a cease fire. Also, I have never seen this unsportsmanlike conduct as you describe it. Specifically from my unit as I have not played with a large NKVA group before. I have played against them as a Clansmen, and heard no such trash talking above simple video game/RP banter. I was not offended. Don't get your feelings hurt.
5) Empty accusations. We have been treated with disrespect since we left the Clan border due to insufficient numbers in order to make any headway there. The Clans will have their time. It is really none of Davion's or Marik's business when the Dragon decides to focus on that front and seek out revenge on the barbarian Smoke Jags.
6) Cry me a river. Clans took advantage of our low population and were stacked with mercs and that is why we have what we have now. We don't complain about it or cry on their forums. As I said, their day will come. I'm not sure if Davion really has as few numbers as you think...

Its only an insult if you let it be one.

For the record, my hair turned gray that match because we were secretly trying very hard to impress senpai.

You're the bad guys. Attacking you is how we identify who the good guys are.

I'm pretty sure the t&cs indicate that anyone who likes their own posts can be attacked at any time by anyone without consequence.

Funny, Kurita is at - 48 Planets at this Time while only having to fight CSJ. Now they think fighting CSJ + Marik + Davion will help them winning in CW ?

On the other Side Marik is at +66 ... CSJ is at +57...

Interesting Times. This only works out well for you Guys if you got some Kind of Agreement with CSJ ;)

If you got we will call you "Clan Troll Dragon" :D

Tasker, dear?

Sitting down and figuring all this out would lead to one important and very pleasant result.

Making the responsible party the center of a one-legged butt-kicking party If he's Marik, drag him out and shoot him.

If it's a yellow bird with a purple coat of paint, drag him out, shoot him, and then write his name in shame across the responsible faction's conquered worlds in nice purple or reds. I am certain that if this was treachery, we can even dot the i's with green to make it more festive.

Anders comes from a world of experience that makes Inner Sphere politics seem like pattycake. I'd trust him here.

Oh yes I know that was the reasoning. It is perfectly sound as well. The problem is that you guys have the numbers to swamp them like they did to you now. The issue is instead of focusing the border it seemed like you would and then you would just leave and go to the other borders. That was the frustrating part. Not the fact that it was happening so much as it seemed like it was happening because you went to another border when we had been winning.

The Seraphim leaving had nothing to do with that. We decided to go because we felt it was making no impact. There was also some of the whole anti merc trolling or whatever in the forums that was aggrivating as well but I dont think that played as big of a part. I know some of us had a good time with you guys for the first few days of our contract. I know I had a good conversation or two with a Stealth Raptor (I think?). The problem is as the week went on and there was sucess on the clan border it seemed like you guys abandoned it. That may not be true but that is how it seemed. I know that played a huge part in why we personally left.

Again you seem confused.

So HK fought alongside your unit, own the clans, then leave to fight on "another border".

Does HK fight clans or not?
For some reason we give up massive gains on clan planets just to fight something else later?

Marik/nSL loyal merc units stayed with HK even though we were not in nSL?

I'm sorry, this is all very confusing.
