Busted. I secretly control Marik.

Oh, wait. Even Mariks don't control Marik.

Also we should all feel bad for not helping FRR more.

Ms won't come to Davion - they would end up having to take worlds with their own tags if they want to fight on all fronts.

MS taking a world that has their tags from a faction they no longer belong to in order to keep their tags on it? I'd love to see it happen, PGI might finally realise how daft that situation is.

Speak for Davion? I barely speak for myself.

Keeping that in mind my opinion is that daily beatings from Kurita is a good thing for Davion. At some point we will reach a threshold that makes it worth either investing the time and effort in getting better or in other cases coming back to cw to help out. Seems like we're about there. If your only hope of success is praying your neighbor quits hitting you, you don't have things fixed do you.

Kurita got to that point, Liao is as much to that point as they can be. FRR and Steiner have some grizzled badasses at this point.

You want me to be thankful for an offer of MERCY though? **** mercy. We're bulking up and back to lifting.

I'll still go where affs command points me. Just don't expect me to get skill excited at the idea.

So you are saying you'd like the DCMS to continue punching you in the face because it is making you "stronger". Even if the DCMS is tired of punching you in the face, you won't let us stop? We'd like to punch the clanners in the face instead but can't do so effectively if we need to continue punching Davion. We aren't some kind of magical ambidextrous punching boxer man!

We have already reached out and touched ourselves from one faction to another. It didn't seem to change anything.

This thread is amazing. However, it's still shorter than the threadnaught of old. If it hits the fabled 50 page mark I will truly be in awe.

You laugh. We went through that with Liao for months. We took that approach with Marik. Didn't work.

See my concern is that now that we're bulking back up and you have 2 Clan fronts plus Marik you want to close borders.

How pissed are we? Even if we keep bleeding worlds would we throw ourselves at Kurita to help you lose other fronts?

We are pretty pissed.

In case you didn't notice, the Marik wormhole has been closed. They are absolutely not a threat to the DCMS now.

We've been happily (mostly) ignoring the clans to stomp on Davion for the past few weeks, we would have no qualms with keeping the status quo. There is no reason for us to prioritize clans over Davion if Davion wishes to continue trying to attack us. Davion are much easier wins..

I predicted this response as soon as I read Roadbeer's reply. I must be psychic.

Or Roadbeer just set himself up for an obvious retort.

If you're faced with 2 fronts, you deal with the weak foe first, so you can focus your efforts on the strong one. We don't need the dragon's full might to crush Davion, so we're dealing with just enough to make them bleed while keeping CSJ from pushing further into our territory.

We actually have enough strength right now to defeat Davion every NA ceasefire and still hold the CSJ planets at a standstill.

And like all great Democracies/Republics/Committees, Marik has now become so bloated and full of itself that without any effective leadership to get it back on track, it collapses in on itself like so much Rome.

FWL has lost what used to make it great. They became so sure they were the power of the Inner Sphere. And for a while they were. But history lesson, things change! Not everything stays the same, and failing to adapt to said changes, FWL's time is limited.

I refuse to be part of this mutation that used to be a great place to hang out and play. And while I'm going to miss great players like Dravan, Mooky, Grizzly, and the rest, it's time I move on somewhere else. Hopefully to a place who's leaders aren't falling over themselves, backstabbing their allies, and breaking promises because "**** those guys".

Oh, well, crap. Guess I got to lone wolf it now.

Now that's just running your mouth.

Given two attackers, one with a cherry-red CT and one with armor scratches that will inflict equal damage- who do you shoot first to extend your lifespan?

CCAF doctrine is "kill the weaker target so you have half the guns shooting you back on the next exchange". Is this not common to most militaries?

Hardly. It's not like Marik hasn't had ex-Liao troops, the reverse can apply as well.

The DCMS would be honored to have an honest mechwarrior such as yourself.
