Basically, it would be nice to test a build that you have come up with, before you pay for it in the mechlab, that way you know wether or not you are about to waste money. All in testing grounds of course, not a real match.

voted no for the following reason:
the game needs CBill-Sinks - the mechlab is one the them. As of now players do get a lot of CBills over time (I know for newbiews it does not look this way, but if you don't change your build every 2 games and if you actually keep engines, weapons, etc, you changed on your build you will get more and more CBills over time).
You can use tools like murphys to reduce CBill-cost and you got 12 trial mechs (which allows you at least to test single weapons and their mechanic) allready.

Soooo If you want to make sure the Hill climb module has a good effect on your mech you should have to spend 15,000 GXP and 6 millon just to test it out? Or take other peoples word for it?
No there should be a way to test builds and modules, to justify high prices (especially modules / engines)

Or at least be able to customize the trial mechs. Something to add incentive on purchasing a new mech.
