I was able to get a couple of fluke games of 600+ dmg even before basics were done, especially the 3E where the DPS from the AC5s is deceiving. You don't realize how much dmg you're doing because you feel like you're spraying everywhere. If there's one variant that I think will crack 1k damage, I think it'll be the 3E (perhaps because the other 2 variants have an alpha/twist play style that kills things more efficiently).
After optimizing builds, I've been able to get back to the damage numbers I'd expect of an assault, 500+ with the occasional 800+ game with the right conditions (Haven't been able to with my HGNs and VTRs after JJ & PPC nerfs).
On the Engines:
... A STD 300 feels a bit slow. I think STD 320 is the lowest I'd go, but prefer 350+.
Other observations:
Nobody seems to shoots the legs. I suggest armouring up shield arms. Shave armour from your legs.
Very glad to hear you are enjoying your Banshees! Once you get the hang of them you'll find average damage well above 600. In the 3M and LaMalinche I've cracked 1000 damage many times, not just my 3E. I don't alpha much in my 3M as it is crazy hot. I chainfire 4x LPLs right and left with the 4x MPLs as a close in hammer. As you get used to the heat management you'll overheat less but you still will (hopefully their dead after that much damage).
I generally lower leg armor to 40-45 as they are rarely targeted, never less than 50 on the arms. Running anything less than a 350 loses the major advantage of speed and maneuverability unique to the Banshee and why I hate the 3S.
LaMalinche 1000 Dmg (notice the KGC-000 only did 598)
BNC-3M 1263 Dmg
