For the last week or so I've had a peculiar issue with chain firing weapons. While chainfire typically operates correctly, I've noticed that every now and and then chain fired weapons simply stop firing despite me holding the button down.

To illustrate by example: On my RVN-H I have two SRM4s set to chainfire. While I can normally hold the button down and fire them like an SRM4 machine gun, sometimes they will simply stop firing despite not being on cooldown. To make them resume firing I have to take my finger off the button and repress it (although sometimes this only gets one or two to fire whereupon it "locks up" again).

This happens about once or twice a game (although this will not occur at all in some games). Any ideas? It is extremely annoying and can sometimes cost me a kill.

Are you also holding MGs down when this happens?

I think there was an error involving chainfire and MGs.

Yes. Is there a solution or work-around (other than, you know, not using MGs)?

There's definitely something odd happening when chain firing a group while the MG's are firing. I've noticed that on my Nova more than once. The same thing happens with flamers by the way.

Actually, I was able to reproduce this bug while chainfiring without shooting my MGs. It also happened to me using a BNC-3E with three AC/5s on chainfire.

Whenever you hold the firebutton down for another weapongroup, the chainfired weapons don't work right anymore.
They claimed to have fixed that a long time ago but it seems to be back, if it was ever really gone in the first place.

Yes I noticed this too and have just learned to live with it. When I hold down machine guns (my left shift key) I cannot rapidly fire my other weapons. The first weapon I fire has to fully discharge before another weapon will fire. My workaround to this is to use my alpha key (spacebar) while holding down machine guns. When heat is an issue, I will FIRST chain fire the weapons at my opponent, SECONDLY I will hold down machine guns and THIRD I will then continuously hold down my alpha key allowing the weapons to fire off as they cool down at different moments.

Hope you understand. Ultimately, a fix would be greatly appreciated.
