IMO, the -S is the best variant. You already have that, but you're not using the 'Mech to its full potential until it gets fully Elited. You already know this as you're looking to Master the chassis.

-DDC is the other "best Atlas" variant. Until the -S came along, in fact, it was the de facto best Atlas by a mile(or several). Personally, though, I always liked the -K. Double AMS and played it as an aggro-tank. It is, however, objectively the worst variant of all. -RS is fine but easily outclassed by the Boar's Head(which I will buy if it ever goes on another 50% sale).
