So, I mainly play Quickdraws. The QKD-4H can be an effective short range brawler in the right hands, despite being on the lighter end of the tonnage curve for heavy mechs. It is not an LRM mech, though. If you look at the mech itself, you'll notice that while the left torso does indeed have two missile mounts, one of them has 10 tubes and the other has 5. The center torso is 4 tubes. Realistically speaking you could put one LRM 10 on it and then an LRM 5, but nobody does. It's pretty safe to say that an LRM build on a QKD-4H is a niche build at best.

Please revise the LRM-centric quirks that are on the block for the QKD-4H. As it stands the mech has some decent SRM4 quirks, but SRM4s and LRM10s serve completely different playstyles. Myself and the few others that use this mech would have to spend millions of cbills to repurpose our mechs and take advantage of the new changes, but realistically we will just abandon it in favor of something else because it is not a very good mixed-range fighter. I understand that canonically speaking the QKD is a mixed range soldier style mech and that it comes stock with an LRM, so perhaps you could accommodate both playstyles?

My recommendation, if you want to enable both playstyles:

QKD-4H
Specialty
Additional Armor (LA&RA) +10
Additional Structure (LL&RL) +7
Missile Weapon Cooldown +20%
Missile Weapon Heat Gen -20%
Medium Laser Cooldown +10%
Energy Weapon Cooldown +10%
Energy Weapon Heat Gen -12.5%

Thank you for reading. I hope you take this post into consideration.

Agreed. That is a very well stated and rational change that does nothing but make a mech more viable without turning it into a monster. In addition it falls more to the mech's canonical role As a jack-of-all trades type mech.

**** your medium laser quirks! MPL + SRM4 are made for each other!

And where did the range quirk go? This mech is not worth bringing into the field without it.

Well, the QKD 4H is still great.

But, I do miss that extra range on the SRMs.

A mech that is so ugly and hated by PGI they gave it LRM quirks so it could stay hidden from view.

Quickdraw has:

-Clearly strong legs, doesn't skip leg day.
-Powerful looking arms, isn't afraid to show off his girth.
-Enormous pecs, excellent posture, clearly deadlifts (but doesn't brag.)
-Cute little bug antennae on its head, perfectly aligned and symmetrical.

We traded gameplay quirks for beauty perks. The quickdraw is truly an aesthetic masterpiece.

I love the antennae :D

I really hope they either skip the QKD for a geometry pass, or make very minute changes if they do. I really don't think it needs anything changed since it's mostly laser hard points you don't need to worry about sizing etc... it jst looks great. I'd hate to see it suffer the fate of the Cent where that arm turned into like a 2x4 nailed onto a stump
