You will enjoy the wave III mechs and then a new pack will be announced. Once this happens the wave III mechs will be nerf'd so you will get excited about the new announcement/pack.

then about two months till it's nerfed.

Aff, and do not forget our special ultra-premium Invasion Reinforcement pack for laughable $100. Only for Wave 1+2+3 purchasers and will never be available again (we may make a poll though). Hurry before these are nerfed as well! GRABDEAL!

So many negative people... Never even played a Timby, and dislike my stormcrows... But a lot people who pilot them say they don't feel the nerfs have much of any effect on their performance. Thoguh, personally, switching from IS to Clan took some adjusting for those lasers...

I highly doubt this was a marketing scheme. People have been complaining about them since day 1.... I think it's ridiculous that they needed nerfing, killed plenty in my days... But, whatevs.

Besides, my Jags are going to be ballistic monsters >:3 They will never be nerfed!

It's because even though they agreed to the Terms and Conditions that state content is liable to change, and it's well known that in this type of game, and in MWO specifically, stats/quirks are likely to change for balance reasons that:

A - They don't want their overpowered flavour of the month wrecking ball to be nerfed.
B - Can't be bothered to adapt at all.

Anyone who gets the FOTM powerhouse should understand it'll be nerfed for the very reason it's the FOTM powerhouse, and so will receive no sympathy.

The people that just like the mech, or are competent, aren't really complaining about it.

I'm not exactly a Mad Cat specialist - haven't piloted it more than probably 20 times, all variants included - and it holds no nostalgia for me (that's reserved for the Warhammer and Marauder), but some of the cumulative nerfs seem pretty heavy handed. But then again, I've never complained about their supposed OP'ness either. The whatever model with the laser hardpoints in the shoulder is just whoa. But whatevs.

I'm not a huge fan of the Mad Cat, and never got on with it especially myself (but then I'm a light pilot), and the build I used (mixed Pulse, SRM, LRM - just for giggles) wasn't affected at all that I noticed, but the people I know that do play it a lot, and use the vomit builds, have said apart from ERLL you don't even really notice it, and even then really only if you do the 9 energy build..

If you run 'standard' omni layouts, or pick and choose, you'll have maybe 15% duration increase, the 9 gets you a 27% increase.

BUT, it's slower to recharge, and ultimately runs cooler anyway, making it more sustainable....

So they've adjusted, switched to pulse or dropped 1 laser, shuffled some hardpoints, business as usual.

Interesting the heavy ones come first.
When do we pick Faction content?

yeah but it shows that it didn't do anything all the more reason to remove them.

So why do the first two come with all Faction patterns unlocked? If you did not buy the Executioner, you get free temp 4th pattern?

Delivery of the first two Clan Wave 3 'Mechs the Executioner & Ebon Jaguar - It is my current understanding that these will come with fully functioning Faction skins rather than waiting for the final Wave 3 delivery date, look for further updates.

Where did you get this? O_o

To the best of my knowledge, all mechs only come with the Invasion pattern, (And the fractal? pattern for the early early adopters) And the faction content comes out when the last 2 mechs hit the game...

Russ said on Twitter that ALL package mechs will now come - out the gate - with the ability to equip all currently available camo patterns. That is the new "standard" for packages, according to him. That includes Invasion variants, and WILL include all previous mechs, "eventually" (note: his phrasing made it difficult to tell if it included Founders mechs, but I would assume so).

Reeaaalllly o.o Interesting... and we're sure this is starting with Wave III? Including the Invasion Variants? Wow... That's... pretty metal, actually XD

Though, I'm one of those goofy few who feel you shouldn't be able to change Hero mechs... at all... Even color customization should be out :P Anyone who paints their Heavy Metal anything but neon pink is just....

Okay... Did a web search, since I don't have twitter... And it came right up!

Btw here is a little surprise info for Clan Wave 3: the mechs are releasing 100% complete for camo compatibility. This means faction, special ones and also for the firs time even the Invasion (I) mechs will have the channels unlocked. AND the (I) version will be able to take the Invasion paint off for faction or anything but only it can put Invasion on. Essentially 100% camo support and show casing the future for all special package mech behavior.

So, only the (I) mech will have the invasion pattern? Is that normal? I thought I saw the invasion pattern on non-(I) mechs in the past... But not sure... Don't mind, just curious.

But, I believe our faction content selection still isn't until July, so while our mechs will be COMPATIBLE with the cammos, unless we buy them, we won't have them right from the word go. Again, not a big deal. Being able to repaint my (I) is more than awesome enough :3

I am now happy, now I can actually "Camouflage" my Invasion mechs without having to worry about only having 2 colors to work with.

The "wave 4" is IIC mechs and/or clan battlemechs, no more BS about "omnitech OP clan XL engine stuff.

If they continue to nerf clan tech due to clan battlemechs then even the comp timberwolfs will have issues fighting a legged locust in a 1 vs 1.

This will be to bad that PGI will probably not do a direct nerf or unerf after that.

The other thing is spammed negative quirks, which will cause a stir as IS mechs do not have the same treatment as battlemechs.

The best part is the mech I am most hyped about is executioner, impossible for them to nerf what would be the 2nd worst clan mech in game.

So, they have had over 3 months to work on this and only releasing two this month? Also, has anyone seen anything telling us if they will have negative quirks....or even in game screenshots?

They better be giving us a countdown for the CB and EXE. Tina, (or someone at PGI), if you are reading this thread, I personnaly loved the Urbanmech countdown even though I did not get the pack. I think the community would love the hype leading up to the release of these two mechs.
Cheers!

I agree.
Especially the Cauldron Born.
It's one of those incredibly popular mechs.
I bought the entire package almost purely for the Ebon Jaguar.
