Well, I can't see anywhere how many faction contents come with Wave 3. But it seems there comes faction content with it. Can someone please enlighten me?

We've updated the Wave 3 page to clarify this. The Content Selection amounts are essentially the same as they were for Wave 2.

Hankyu tier = 1 selection
Shadow Cat tier = 2 selections
Cauldron-Born tier = 3 selections
Gladiator tier = 4 selections

After the dismal wave II release, just not finding the love for these. Just don't trust the builds to actually be decent. You just don't know if they are good, until you build them for your self. Not worth the risk. Pure scout mechs, just aren't good for how this game plays out. one mech was good out of the 4 in the wave II. Given the track record now, expect 1 hopefully 2 of the 4 here to be decent, the rest will just collect dust. Am hopeful maybe Smurfy will get the info up to play with in a few days, other wise have to pass on these till the c-bill variants come out.

Huh? I would not exactly go calling any clan mechs as having a unique pattern on them. They simply have a small thin stripe on them. Yippee...

**edit** I mean the (I) variants of course...

Unique geometry to the mech variants sir.

So, are the early adopter bonus variants considered Wave 3 mechs and we will be able to use the Wave 3 faction camo on them for free, or not?

Top-tier/Gladiator level Wave 3 purchases will qualify you for the 15 Year Anniversary Reward 'Mechs if you acquire that top-tier Collection before February 28th at 11:59:59 PM PST.

Important note: the injection of those Reward 'Mechs for eligible accounts won't occur immediately (according to the current injection schedule for those Reward 'Mechs). We still need to add the Wave 3 system to the 15 Year Reward promo on the database side.

If you've already qualified for the 15 Year Anniversary Reward 'Mechs due to an existing top-tier purchase that fell within the eligible timeframe (December 16th 2014 until February 28th 2015), you will not receive duplicates.

Thanks for the reply.

What is holding me to buy the top tier is the fact I don't know the concept art of the other 3 mechs.
If the art team deliver at least 2 more concepts until Feb 28 it will be a deciding factor.

PS: The Executioner couldn't look more intimidating and bada$$. One more masterpiece for Alex Iglesias.

Camos unlock per Chasis.

special geometry translated into PGI implementation, hit box problems, hit reg problems, and they will end up disabling it and putting it on the shelf with the rest of the stuff they cannot make work. Full Artmis anyone? think we'll ever get that back. Funny the assault maps have turrets with it, but we still don't. Splash damage. and the list goes on.

The first earlybird incentive (extra variants) isn't too wallet-friendly, I am afraid. Already got the first tier for the bonuses and will probably do one per month as I have been doing with other packages. But there's no way I could be dumping 120 USD in a single blow, sorry.

The Pod Space on all Mechs is more than enough to fill it with useful weapon loadouts. While the Executioner seems to be a little underwhelming, you can still put in enough stuff to fill a niche. For all other 3 Mechs, I've already found with the help of substitute mechs in Smurfy and Solaris Skunk Werks some Builds, calculated them, got my numbers and in combination with the rest of the equipment, all Mechs are nice.

No need to hold back, its a good package.

Okay, spending money on these packs is our choice and I am fine with that but why are we not getting balanced pricing on this pack?

-C-bills (and by extension MC) are and always have been arbitrary to pre-order pack costs since every mech cost the same within those packs
-People who bought Wave I and II will also likely buy Wave III so refusing to fix pricing because of that is just silly.
-Clan tech and IS tech is, is intended to be, or will be, balanced so that cannot be the reason.
-If it is because you know people will buy it and you want more money just make future IS packs cost the same. (start angry replies to me now)

Or, just simply say "We realized there was a mistake in our pricing and all pre-order content will cost the same regardless of the tech base." and make everyone happy. No more angry clan-pack buyers, more sales because of the decreased price point, you get to look like nice reasonable guys, and profit!

Thank you, I am aware of how camp works in MWO, that is not what my question is about. I was wondering if the "early adopter" mechs are considered part of the Wave 3 pack and therefore able to have the faction camp which is included with the purchase of wave 3 applied to them.

Alexander, please clarify something: if I buy just the tier 1 now (Hankyu), do I get the early adopter bonus for the other mechs if I upgrade the pack, lets say, in 2 months?

Purchases and upgrades need to be performed before the February 28th deadline in order to receive the Early Adopter bonus.

So upgrading an existing Collection after the deadline will unfortunately not qualify.

That being said, the Early Adopter Variants will be made available for purchase in-game with MC and C-Bills on the same dates as the standard Variants.

Will the early adopter variant omnipods be available on other variants at time of release, or will we have to wait for the cbill release?

You will be able to apply the Faction Patterns to the Early Adopter Variants.

PGI wants to "balance out" the clan so they arent any thing like lore but they wont balance out the prices. $80 for resistance pack and $120 min for any clan pack. Why not just do the $80 for any pack having the 4 mechs( light, med, heavy and assault) instead of making people pay more for a bunch of nerfed clan mechs( yes I am sure as every one else in MWO that they will get nerfed hard).

fair enough, stock answer.

As an unlock, it should apply to all variants of the chassis, so I'd assume yes, as at that point it'll be minimal work to include them, or if not, shortly thereafter.

I want to confirm this on Monday just to be sure, but from what I know in-game purchasing of the Early Adopter Variant OmniPods will only be available once the respective 'Mechs from Wave 3 have hit their in-game purchase dates.

And yet it IS what your question is about.
Unless I am reading you wrong.

Camo works in two ways
Either full chassis unlock permanently (for any variants you now own or ever will own)
Temp Unlock (one individual chassis until you change it)

All camo from the packs has always been the full chassis unlock
So unless PGI says otherwise it is safe to assume that the faction camo will be the same

Phoenix camo was - and from what I have seen the other Clan Camo was as well

So the faction camo should cover the bonus variants.
