As a right now if pgi offered me a total refund of every penny I spent on this game but could never play it again I would do it in a heart beat. Tired of all the quirking only to see mechs I spent MC, CB, and time to get totally gutted again. To give mechs quirks that made them fun to play again then 3 months later just gut them is stupid. I have a feeling pgi is hurting for cash so they need to sell more clans mechs that are coming out. Also seems Russ listen to all the clan twitter whiners on twitter to much.

Welcome to online gaming, where the stats on weapons, equipment, classes, etc. get tweaked periodically for game balance and to shake up stale metas. This has only been going on for 15+ years.

I would take refunds on some hero purchases made.

worst part of this game for me is the nerf/patch/quirk/everchanging hitboxes... etc etc

for example I fell in love with the Protector when It was released. players QQd on the forums about how fast the CT would get taken out but.....it was XL safe and could torso twist like a champ for brawling.

while many praises the hit box changes as a fix I saw it as a complete nerf. torsos are now one shotted and its mandatory to run a standard engine / less fire power / maneuverability / speed

just saying don't fall in love with specific mechs. PGI will screw you every time.

in another aspect don't sell mechs. you never know what will change for the better. look at the RVN-2x in quirk pass 1

This is spot on!! Play a bunch of mechs so you always have something in your wheel house. (And remember, meta is only

I've spent around $500 on this game, despite having a very small income as a student.

But no, I wouldn't get a refund. It's an interesting question, but ultimately I need a mech game and I'm not that confident that MWO is the first of a long series of future Battletech games. I'm sure there will be another, since MWO has shown there's still some money to be made, but who knows what future games end up looking like and when they will be available. The next game could very well be MechAssault Online on Steam.

Confucius say: better to play today's Centurion than to wait for tomorrow's Unseen.

In all seriousness, having had voip added to the game and finding the enforcer to be one of my new favorite mediums, I'm kinda of especially sold this week.
Hell, if I had more money to throw, I'd throw it!

Yeah, I more then likely would. This game turned into just the type of game I really didnt want it to. More Call of Duty: Robot wars and Less Mechwarrior: 5

Been having more fun with this game for the past 3 years than any other title. Money well spent.

I've been playing Online games for a while now

Everquest II: Nerfed every character I ever had at one point in time or another
EVE Online: Every ship I owned, ever weapon system I used was nerfed or buffed at one time or another
WOW: Every Class I ever played was nerfer or completely changed at one time or another

All of these games change, they have to. And I've spent FAR more on those other games than I have on this one. If you dont like them changing things you should look for another form of entertainment

Just my two cents worth

The resistance pack was the first bit of money I spent on this game, because the Grasshopper is my favorite BT mech.

So far, I'm not mad I did.

The quirks changing have given me a reason to explore mechs I otherwise have not played much because I mastered them and moved on.

A few words of advice : don't spend money on the " flavour of the month " simply because it is the " flavour of the month " as sooner or later it will be brought back in line with the other ones and another will take it's place and the cycle repeats again.

This is true for any game, not just this one.
