Im looking at the two cards in a system set up from http://www.ibuypower...nce_FX4_Special
and it shows the 7750 will run Crysis 2 on ultra high but the 6870 just on high, yet in another thread I started
people suggested the 6850 (yeah I just made an error)
Heres the bit I dont understand then;
the site is offering a free "upgrade" to a 6870 which will run Crysis 2 only on high but the 6850 will run it on ultra...
something doesnt work there for me
Also; according to their comparison, the 7750 will run it on Ultra as well...
It their comparison tool flawed or whats going on here?

I want to purchase an upgrade, and I figure this is the best spot to ask while I'm here. I want to upgrade from my 5770, any suggestions? Send me a PM if you do. Be aware that while I built my computer myself, I do not know much about reading specs. Which is why I'm asking for help.

hmmm....im sure the local guru will pop his head in here. however, he recommended i get the 7770 OC video card. not much more expensive then a 7750, but will need a decent power supply. from the benchmarks ive seen the 7770 oc will run crysis 2 decently on high settings and as far as i know the new crytek3 engine will be less demanding so a 7770 OC should be able to run it pretty well.

Its atm looking like this:
http://www.ibuypower...ecial/w/124666,
their tool says itll run Crysis 2 on ultra, which is as close to this as Ive been told to look for
I COULD go two 7770s crossfire but that would require me to change the case sounds a little overkill tho yeah? lol

I think iBuyPower just has their information wrong.
The 6850/70 is significantly more capable than the 7750/70. (They have twice the memory bandwidth and almost twice as many stream processors, just running a little slower.) And both cards support DX11.
The 77x0 cards are much more efficient, though (lower power draw.)

Avoid ibuypower I have seen alot of horror stories (some locally not just internet complaints) I always recommend learning to build your own system but if you really want to buy a prebuilt rig I recommend Cyberpower I just did a hands on review check it out here http://youtu.be/Uk9Io-QHd8I . Also if you are just looking for a apple to apples comparison on video cards check out Ninjalane.com or their forums and Toms hardware.
