Hello all im a returning player after around 6-7 months and enjoying the game again especially CW
BUT could someone explain how the matchmaking actually works because the past 7-8 games have been opposing team rush the base in light mechs and destroy it within 2-3 minutes game over
Now i get that you cap the planet or whatever and get loyalty points but where is the actual fun in that and is there anyway to actually deal with it because i have seen pugs and units get ***** by it

Here how get good fight in Community Warfare: join organized unit and drop with them - there no matchmaking in CW, just whoever show up to fight for planet. All clan and house have unit info and team speak in respective forum.

Richter B. is correct....
There is in fact NO MATCH MAKER in CW. You just get thrown up against whoever is on that planet. Be it multiple 12 man groups or a 12 man of PUG's or SOLO guys. You are at the whim of the community and there is no pairing of skill levels in this mode.
Only modes with MM are Conquest, Skirmish and Assault in the PUBLIC QUEUE.

A lot of IS groups, particularly the Kuritans love to light rush for objectives. Streak boating mechs are a great counter sadly most pug or mishmoshed small groups wont have the coordination to offset this.
Find a unit that drops competent 12 mans and you should find this to be less of an issue.
On the queue screen as a group is forming you can see the size of other groups in the queue, if you see a lot of 1/2/3s then probably better to look elsewhere. Also if the opposing faction has a number of people on a planet that is a multiple of 12 chances are its a 12 man waiting if you queue up.
