So earlier i died from an ammo explosion.. I had already used ALL of the ammo about a minute before that. How do you get an ammo explosion without ammo?

was it a gauss rifle? the game says its an ammo explosion.

Yes i had a gauss rifle equipped in that slot so i'm guessing thats what exploded. Still doesnt seem right. No not AMS ammo, had none.

Gauss is an explosive weapon, its ammo is non explosive because its just metal slugs. Unique in that way.
So that explains it.

Gauss rifle being explosive would only seem right if done during the charging phase. As you can't fire them without charge up like the old days, you have to assume that when not in use, they don't have power to them. So if no ammo, then should the option for it to explode be removed?

did u have an xl engine?

It was the Gauss... Gauss Ammo doesn't explode, however the weapon will. The problem is that the death for it bugged out and started reading as ammo explosion and just never got fixed. Its a minor thing so most people don't really mind it, always confuses the newbies though.
