Battletech has always had its share of just plain old ugly design until some designer watched Robocop and made their version of ED-209 with clan mechs. One thing I can really say about this game is they have redesigned some terrible looking designs and made them look stunning... Look at the original vs. now, King Crab for example. Whoever designed that one sure took a lemon and made it into tequila shooters with that design. Anyways, no matter how talented the new designers are, there are some mechs that are just inherently, beyond saving... So I invite you all to make your top 5 ugly mech list.... For me it is thus:

1) The Gargoyle... I would just be too ashamed to play in that thing. Even if it came with a magic win button.

2) The (upcoming) Excecutioner.... Its not as bad as the original design, but that face... that grumpy old man face... Its soooo ugly that I want one so I can make jokes about it. "yo executioner is so ugly that... "

3) The Urbanmech... Its humpty dumpty... with a gun... come on....

4) The stalker... I know its a decent mech... but they really ran out of ideas when they just attached legs to a weeble wobble.

5) The black jack... Besides having the very unfortunate BJ in its identifier... It just looks like a little kid that pooped its pants while running across the field... A mean little kid that pooped its pants.

So, what is on your list?

Some people like ugly mechs. I know I do. I love that the new executioner kept the face, same with the garg. I personally think we need more ugly mechs. The uglier, the better.

Ryokens, Fenrises, Man-o-Wars, and Koshis. Somebody hit those suckers with the whole damn ugly tree.

Doomcrow is the uglies mech in the game.

Wolverine is probably the ugliest Phoenix mech but I like it a lot.

1. Gargoyle is ******* beautiful!
2. Exicutioner is Even MORE beautiful
3. Urbanmech looks fine.
4. Stalker is awesome
5. Blackjack is awesome!

1.Cataphract. Barn door with arms. When you look at it straight on, looks like it's knees are bent in.

2. Ice Ferret. Enough Said.

3. Dire/Timber/stalker. When did they start salvaging the 747 front ends for cockpits? or is this some form of transformer that can sprout wings and take off?

I feel like I'm the only one who actually likes the Wolverines looks. It and the Hunchback are the coolest looking mediums in my opinion.

The Stalker is a huge improvement over the original "sexual aid" on legs design.

Flipping through the old battletech books are.. phew... pretty bad aesthetically... I wish the unseen mechs could make an entrance... but alas... legality.

I think the Ice Ferret either needs a DOMO or Gumby paint scheme, then it would be menacing.

One must admit, the YLW is one of the best looking mechs in the game I just wish they would give it a grungy make over and bring it up to newer mechs detailing.

so long i can remember a stalker never chance in design.
they really did a great job in making it exactly like it suppose to be.
