You know, when you make a shot a notice pops up saying, Flanking, Brawling, Assist, etc. I don't think I have ever seen one specially for the long range kill or component destruction, like over 600 meters. It's hard to do, should be an achievement of some type. You would think.

I don't think so, this game is all about brawling, not sniping.

I don't use the Gauss Rifle because I can't get the charge-up to work for me, but you know there are places on the maps where long range weapons are the way to go. One of the few things I find challenging to pull off.

Brawlers get bonuses because if you're in the back sniping while there's a brawl going on, it means you're not there to help spread out damage within your team.

It does feel awesome to nail a moving target 600+ meters out with a ppc though.

True. However on many occasions I have held or delayed 3 to 5 mechs from advancing through a chokepoint and thus divided the attacking force from linking with their brawlers. My mech was obviously taking damage during this time, but they were taking more, enough to pin them for awhile.

As long as the cursor flashes red, indicating a hit, I am satisfied.
Until the HSR messes it up.
