I have explained it just now, please look it over.

As to your seeing sectors change hands, I have NO DOUBT that you watched CONTESTED RESULTS being portrayed. And that is why they blinked in coincidently rapid succession.

"Sometimes a cigar is a cigar." - a famous pseudo-Freud quote.

But since there were were ZERO Ghost Drops in progress no of the "blinks" were that of a Ghost Drop being recorded... they wer MOST DEFINITELY the famous NIGHT SCORN 3-minute deconstruction of a Sulfurous Rift Defense... even running 4-Streak Boats, I have failed to orchestrate a stop to this NS mainstay.

So as NS was running two 12-man Teams, I have no doubt BLINKS were occurring everywhere as NS squashed Defenses and collapsed Counterattacks. Luckily CSJ was running its own Elite Vanguard 12-mans and for a god part of the night we build up a 73% lead only to see it very competently and professionally eroded by DCMS élan and Marik-nSL willingness to help a disaffected (though my favorite in Lore!!!) Inner Sphere House.

I trust these posts have helped you see that Ghost Drops just might not be a prevalent as you (and no doubt TOO MANY others mistakenly thought.)

Good luck and good gaming, meet you all on the high (Luthien!) ground!

I have played almost 1200 Community Warfare matches... and it all sort of falls into place given my schooling and retired military experience.

Not the best answer I am afraid and prime evidence of a #WastedRetirement but then there you have it.

Perhaps a Moderator or Developer could chime in an let us know its veracity...

No such thing as a wasted retirement; your retirement is earned, so do with it as you please, lol. I am content to take you at your word, though; your answer was not simply "No, you are stupid"; you actually took the time to explain why I was wrong. That is refreshing, and very much appreciated. :)

If only unlimited counterattacks werent possible :P

I'd like to see sufficient wins on non-capital worlds open up a shot at a capital one, if it's exposed. That is, you'd have to wear down an enemy faction AND expose the capital by getting your border in contact with it to attempt a capital planetary assault.

That way, non-capital worlds serve a critical purpose- preserving them protects your Luthien, Sian, New Avalon, Tharkad, etc. etc. However, a successful defense would "reset" momentum, requiring further damage to the faction to attempt another- the attack vector would change to a non-capital world after a single ceasefire cycle.

The perfect MW:O game is a rare thing. You could spend your whole life looking for one, and it would not be a life wasted.

Of all the snaps taken that 8-hour cycle, I regret missing only one shot....

I was just inside the Beta Gate and to the left behind the high ground with our CSJ battle line formed in reverse slope to my left...
While your NS battle line was drawn up on the high ground immediately across for our Gate on Springs...

...there were ALL manner of laser beams crossing through a dusky-hued Hellebore sky.

Back and forth, circling and chasing, rising and falling, it was a sight to behold...

If not, you should consider sending ideas into the Features Suggestion. Send me a PM if you do and I will be sure add comments similar to what I have here to it. You should get credit of a great twist on the second item here!

I'll just link it here for more hits, hopefully. I brushed it up a bit and expanded on what I had in mind:
http://mwomercs.com/...ign-suggestion/

I would love it if people take a look, and if you agree it would make for a better invasion mode, spam the +1s and whatnot so PGI sees it.

I have reviewed your excellent post and commented (http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__4229471) specifically on your fifth paragraph. Multiple Win Conditions is an excellent way to level the playing field. Good job!

Would be nice if PGI would tell us how many ghost drops happened on the planet. Maybe none did but for quite a while the planet was at 40-60 v 99+. So how many defenders was there really? Is there a limit to the amount of attacker/defenders? Will you really just sit in admin forever?

yea, there were definitely a lot of defenders in queue. When it was ~50/99+ is when we pulled off to help put more heat on Leiston. GJ to all who defended against us there as well, for a while it looked like we would win both planets.

With 4 to 6 matches going on simultaneously, there was a match ending just about every 4 to 8 minutes.

This EASILY preempted ANY 10-minute countdown timer from completing its journey to ZERO, because you have to remember that included within those 4 to 6 concurrent matches were Omega-Defense takedowns that lasted all of 5-minutes, as well as Hold-Missions that resulted in 48-Counterattacker Dead within 18 to 22-minutes. Thus there really NEVER was a chance for Ghost Droos to kick off.

Please remember that on a SINGLE world ONLY ONE Ghost Drop Countdown going on at any ONE time. Thus with 4 to 6 matches in progress and new Attacker Teams entering the Attack queue every 4 to 8 minutes, there really was ZERO opportunity for a 10-minute Ghost Drop timer to be completed.

Just because there is 99+ (let's say 120 actual) Defenders in queue it is IMPOSSIBLE to have more than ONE 10-minute Ghost Drop Countdown Timer counting down at any one time.

So for the VAST PREPONDERANCE of the 48 to 72 Defenders IN QUEUE but not yet IN-GAME they spent looking at screens where "Pilots were receiving orders" for EXCEPTIONALLY long periods of time when the queue surpassed 99+.

This resulted in uncounted Kurita gamer-hours-of-gaming being lost, when they could have been better spent on the Kurita Attack against Leiston... this resulting need for CSJ Defenders proved a critical factor in pulling Smoke Jaguars out of the CSJ Luthein Attack Queue.

While I have ZERO problem with lost Kurita gaming-hours (well that isn't true, I would like all Gamers to find maximum value, thus ensuring PGI's game is best supported through high gamer volume and attendant monetization) ...on the night of our attempted liberation of Luthien, OPTIMAL employment of ALL gamers could have been better achieved by keeping only a 12-18 gamer advantage over CSJ Attacker Queues.

And as a final item, I offer this disclaimer as to why I just gave House Kurita a means to better defend Luthien in the future.... I didn't JUST give HK this feedback, BUT I give it to ALL viewers of this post. It applies equally to CSJ and HK as it does to HM and CJF.

While the gamers in your 99+ queue MIGHT enjoy surfing the web while their "Pilots are Receiving Orders" they are basically waiting their gaming time after one Faction overmatched its opponent.

Please remember that MORE gamers in queue DOES NOT automatically equate to ANY Ghost Drops.

Competent guidance to its player base in order to minimize wasted gamer hours SHOULD BE the goal of all Faction Leadership Groups.

We did intentionally attack Leiston to pull pressure off Luthien. We even scouted certain Honorable IS House's to see if they were running alt accounts attacking into us as CSJ (which we later confirmed via Twitch Stream although to be honest their dearth of skill made little difference and they were in the minority)

I started the night happily fighting CSJ for Luthien, took a 3 hour work break and came back to more drops with the battle still raging. I must have made over 30 million cbills Saturday to Sunday morning.
