The first time i played on the jungle map i was amazed. The fog allowed you to get pretty close to your enemy without getting precicely shot. Back in the days the map was a awesome brawler map but then ppl complained about the fog and pgi almost completely removed the fog sadly. Why didnt they just tone it down a bit?

I welcome maps with different wether conditions/ view conditions. Some maps should be designed for brawling others for sniping.

If you would like to have at least half the fog back the map used to have then dont forget to add a comment down below

Or they should just add another version of the map in the rotation with the fog or even different part of day. How hard can it be, PGI? MW4 had these settings since day 1, it's not rocket science.

Heat vision should be jammed then.

Would certainly make the fights interesting. If, as said, this version of map comes up only sometimes.

I'm actually undecided about removing fog on some maps. On one hand, fog adds a tactical value but on the other hand, it just forces people to press the thermal vision right at the start of the match. The art assets are just wasted in the white and black world.

That's a valid point. But does it really?

Completely agree with this as well. The game could look much nicer without all those filters. I play it in thermal pretty much 3/4 of the time, even on the hot desert maps thermal is still beter in most cases (completely filters out the smokes and particles, can easily spot mechs from distance too).

Not sure if the fog on the bog map was cold or warm. If it was a cold fog,pgi should change it to a warm one so it would make heat vision useless

Buy a new one. :P

More seriously, you should know that there is a time you must upgrade your tools. Games won't stay forever at thecurrent level.

What is the "Hight Setting" today can be the "Very Low Setting" in 10 years considering the progress made each day.

I sympathize with people's objections based on FPS hits, etc. But from a gameplay standpoint, I LOVED the vibe of that map when the fog was in. We have tons of maps with long sight lines, etc. This one was fun with the fog because you may have LOS but until you learn the map, you can't be sure it's an unobstructed LOS, etc. Lots more close range fights, etc. I liked it. xD

No, because i actually like seeing colours from time to time when playing.. if there is loads of fog/snowstorm or the map is too 'mech coloured' i just end up in thermal view 99% of the time so i can see my enemies clearly. Alpine is actually one of my favourite maps for this reason, white ground contrasts well with mechs and no fog etc means i can play in normal view mode.

All fog does is force people into thermal view and a greyscale game... why bother? it doesnt help you sneak about since people are using thermals.

An alternate fog map might be cool. I'd be ok with that.

To me, the bigger issue is all the knee high obstacles scattered everywhere that gets your mech stuck. The messed up steps too. Oh, and the terrain I tried to JJ past, got stuck, and it stripped the armor off of both my legs and crit them.

The little things like that first.
