Their XBox, Android and iOS franchises have taken off recently, but PC numbers at least on the US server seems to have gone down a bit.
It is probable that War Thunder Ground Forces are gradually eating their lunch.

personally i would love combined arms, particularly so if your arms can be deployed using any kind of AI... even better if you can command them in game! but pre-planning movements would be more then enough, heck even "go to waypoint" would be fine. i believe it would work best as a resource bought and gained from planets, but again that is...
aerofighters alone could be really interesting, but the space fighter market does have a lot of current, competitive games right now.

If its Mechwarrior Battlemechs trying to shoot down World War 2 aircraft, your most viable weapons would be AC2, UAC/2 and UAC/5. Then mount 4 of them in an arrangement in a mech that can support 4 ballistic hardpoints, like a Jagermech. Your mech will also need a serious lead in targeting indicator.

We already had a combined arms mechwarrior.
Tanks, various combat vehicles, VTOLs, aerotech, mechs, power armor.

MWO works pretty well on a controller, actually. It's not advanced at all.

you make it sound like you prefer a console version of a Mechwarrior game..
