I have a question for the community, before I ask for an investigation. Has anyone noticed that when they are playing clans units supposedly based in Russia ( RJF, VRGD, RCGB ), you get head shot all the time? In a Highlander, at drop point, I got ermlased to death, coming out of the dropship, and the suspect was at around 300 meters from me with fire going all around us.

Can someone really be that good all the time ? I never run into this with any other units, even when I am getting stomped.

I have not been headshot recently at all.

Rather than saying "the Russians", I'd suggest you send your report on *specific people* to PGI.

Wouldn't expect better from one of you dirty Capellans, of course ;)

I play with some russians from time to time and no aim bots, but good positioning and solid aim. In the past week I head-shotted at least five people. No aim bot, just enemies standing stationary and I decided to aim for the head from time to time.

Mordin, nice pic of your damage scale.Tell me, were all those matches against pugs in trial mechs ? If I happened to face so many IS trial mechs, I'd probably get those scores as well, since I get 1500 against 12 man clans quite often.

No I will keep looking at pings. If I see something fishy I will write it down. No way can you aim lasers at someone's head, repeatedly for the full duration of the laser. It is just uncanny. Gauss, PPC, AC, ok. Er Lasers ? Not even pulses. Serious serious doubts.

There is a really perverted youtube clip involving He-Man looking like he's having a really good time with himself and it is cut with a bunch of clips from a super soaker water gun ad that makes the entire thing wrong on so many levels. I'm not going to risk linking it.

What mech were you running, DaFrog? Some of them are really susceptible to headshots. My Battlemasters seem to have magnets on their cockpits...

My pics are comming from time when I was running misiles. Some pugs and some 12mans in there - in some 12mans it makes little difference to be honest. Now I am running laser vomits, I get much more kills, slightly less damage but more LPs. My top damage with laser vomit is 3.5k or so but mostly it is well under 3k.

Regarding head shots, I am getting mine on people who stand still and shoot you without moving. No idea whether they are newbies or pros (well... rethoricaly speaking, I know they play poorly) but they happen by quite often. Most of head shots also comes due to knowledge where to aim. Practise.

The long burn on Clan lasers help in the head shot arena. Drag the up front center torso until the instruments shows cockpit damage, hold the beams tight. Bingo, rest of the damage to the head.

Well, another possibility is that they experience wierd rubber banding and it causes mechs to stop and warp and do wierd things, so instead of fighting vs smoothly running mechs they often see a mech stop for a second, then teleport 50 meters, pause, then teleport 20 meters. Sometimes lag can be good and in my experience, russians grow up playing in lag and are experts at gaming under extreme conditions.

Aimbots are not that good they will never headshot over and over. They have no idea where the head is located.

If he is talking about dropping off the ship it looks like all mechs drop in the same spot. I bet he is zoomed in ready as mechs sit for a few seconds before they start moving.

Can't give exact, never looked, but I find it works better at mid-range where you can get multiple lasers hitting with no spread. So when you are getting only half the burn or less into the head, it still equals quite a bit of damage.
