I have been waiting for this game for quite a long time now, almost three years since I heard about a sort of "Mechwarrior 5" coming out.

I remember reading an article about some legal troubles with the "Warhammer" mech, and how it looked too much like something else from another game.

I played most of the mechwarrior games in the past (Although the names elude me sadly...) as much as I could on my dads only gateway that only ran on Windows 93.

I was hoping that I would be able to get the legendary founders pack, or even at least the Elite, but I have found that since I had to get some upgraded hardware, as well as medical bills for my mother (She has Cerebral Palsy for those curious), I am unable to get anything in the way of founders packs.

I dont exactly know why I am making this thread, all I do know, is that I now feel horrible for not being able to buy any of the founders packs to support this amazing game. One legendary amounts to little more than a drop in the bucket compared to what you guys must have made when you first started selling them, but all the same, I still wanted to help you guys out and give you the money for a legendary.

I wish I could get the founders pack, but I am unable to, so heres to you PGI, I raise my beer to you guys in hopes that you have amazing luck on this game and keep it going for many many years.

Cheers!
Krogoth.

Don't worry about it, real life expenses will always trump entertainment. If you're serious about supporting the game, buy little things here and there after it goes live. Yes, it's not a Founder's package, but "Keep the game alive after launch" capitol is just as important as "Pre-launch hardware, startup, and payroll" capitol. Even if it's only $5 a year, that's $5 they wouldn't have had otherwise.

I'll keep your mother and your family in my prayers.

Windows 93

Whut.

Joking aside, you don't have to feel bad. Enjoy the game the devs are making and if you stumble across the cash later on, you can buy whatever you please. The devs won't raid your house if you don't pay them money (usually), so keep what's dearest first and we'll see you on the battlefield.

Just a FYI, the legal troubles involved the Warhammer looking too similar to the design of the Destroids from Robotech, which is an ANIME. They have video games based on the series too, but the series is an anime and a really good one at that.

Well, when things get better and if / when you get a new computer can you go buy stuff then. :D

I can somewhat relate because I was like - "I ABSOLUTELY MUST GIVE MY MONEY TO PGI!" until I got things together to get Legendary pack. :P

Cheer up friend! Just support the game after launch by buying things in the in-game store when you can afford. Medical bills defiantly come first tho and believe me I feel you pain I'm a diabetic with no health insurance and there are MANY times iv had to pass on frivolous things to afford my meds. Keep your head up and sights forward!

If you are serious, (which I hope you are) don't worry about it, I couldn't afford Legendary due to a new son and losing my job, I paid what I could afford, just do the same, they make the game Free to play for people in exactly your position. (I know I know and to dangle a worm in front of you to encourage you to pay for cool stuff).

But like trickshot said, if you really feel you want to contribute drop the price of the crate of beers and buy a paint job or hula girl once a year and your golden.

Otherwise keep your money as you seem to need it more. (sucks that you have to pay medical bills though, that's horrific).

hope things pick up.

Thanks for deleting that post Paul :)
And yeah guys, thats basically what im planning on doing, if I do anything at all.
Its hard to do all this stuff since I am unemployed and we are both living on my mothers monthly check.
And for those that want to ask where I got the money to upgrade my comp, I answer with months, and months of saving.
It takes a long time to save up almost 250 on 20 dollars a month

Why do they still care about macross/ robotech? they should just give us our unseen already. The public has already declared it all BS.

No worries, friend. Just play the game when it releases and show your support then. If you get a little extra cash in the meantime or in the future and you want to blow it on MWO, do so then. Real life always comes first. I'm sure nobody in PGI is taking it personally ~_^

To the OP - as others have said RL comes first. what matters is that you play the game when you can and enjoy it. I will be getting an Elite pack as soon as I get paid (just started a job after 6 months out).Legendary doesn't interest me as I only like one of the mechs. I do intend to buy a number of the others shown though.
