This is a post that I started a while ago, and it never really got any traction. The idea, however has appealed to me for several reasons. The first being that more customization is always better. The second is that the cost in programming time would be fairly minimal. Granted, I'm not a programmer - the extent of my knowledge goes just past HTML and CSS (which isn't very far). It's enough to know that there are worlds of information about software bottlenecks that I don't understand.

However, Russ has said in the latest town hall meeting that they're looking for more ways for people to brag and show off. I think an excellent idea would be to allow exterior cockpit customization. As an example, we could have the Atlas' glowing eyes back as an option. with colors. We could have glowing blue, green, matte black, pulsating, ghosting, painted, solid, and so on.

For PGI, this means that they could reward challenges with cockpit customs, they could sell premium features like "pulsating" or "mirrored." Colors can match house or faction loyalties, could be an extension of the camo system - meaning more sales and a reason for players to brag when specific colors or features are attached to difficult achievements.

So, leave your vote and let's let PGI know that when we win with customization, they win with our money.

EXACTLY. The more options we have for customization, the better.

I'm being a tool and leaving a new reply to bump my suggestion back up. I know, I know, that's not what it's for. But seriously, I think this is a good idea.

I didn't even think of that! We could have locusts running around like rice rockets with underglow. I'll name it "the Civic"

At first, I thought this thread was going to be something stupid, but then I read it and I was pleased. Imagine fighting in a dark area with neon cockpits. Sure, everyone would only see green, but it'd still be cool.

Thank you sir, I perhaps should have picked a different title for the article. It does sound a little silly at first. Thanks for your support - if ya'll think that this should get attention, please send it to your friends, leave comments and vote.
