Have drops that allow less than 12 players to launch.
It's really stupid if one thinks about it, we can't launch an attack unless there are 3 lances attacking and 3 lances defending. Why can't we just march on over and win outright if there are not enough defenders?
Why can't a single lance, launch and attack alone? Makes sense if nobody is defending. Even better, a lone mech could attempt to take on the turrets defending and kill the gens on his own if NOBODY wants to defend.
Right now, we have attacks going on on certain planets because we have enough numbers of fighters on both sides, but in reality, if we want to attack, and there are no defenders, then it should be a walkover, not a queue to take turns to hit the punching bag.
If say we have a players waiting for 20 mins wanting to attack, and there is nobody bothering to show up to defend (ensuring there are no more defenders than attackers), then it's a opposition less drop and it's an automated walkover win. Or we could have it that, if there are no other fights currently being contested on a planet, and group with less than 12 will drop, subject to full lances and equal attackers and defenders,
So if we have 7 people in an attack queue for a defender and a 6 for attackers, after 10 mins the battle will drop with a lance attacking and defending each.
This way it's not going to be possible for a single 4 man to take a planet, less they want to wait 10 mins each time for 5 times within a phase. Really not much fun. Plus we can have lots of smaller skirmishes going on around the place. More battles on more planets, not just waiting for the large one to come along and then everyone else pile in.

There is another way, but PGI seems to want to ignore this, however I will share it with you, as I really think it will work.....

I think it's an interesting idea, it does help bulk up numbers.
However, my main point is more in line with.
If we have a single mech attacking, he should technically win if there are no defenders. Yet, he can't even land, let alone win, because we don't have defenders. Which is a very stupid logic flaw in this whole CW.
In that way, 4 guys queuing for 10 mins can get a free default win if nobody wants to defend, getting 4 v 4 instead of 12 v 12 is a much easier bar to cross, and that way we'd have fighting on ALL the worlds.

Increasing the C-bill reward for playing CW (not winning, either for showing up or for shooting mechs/generators) would help to move some players from PUG assault/skirmish/conquest into CW. There are plenty of players online, but they all flock to wherever the C-bills come fastest (NOT CW right now).

PGI is working on 8 and 4 per team games as per last discussion with Russ.
