The best instance of the I could find was when I ran my Huginn with all SRMs a few months back. I ran directly into an Atlas-K and thought, easy kill!

He had dual AMS equiped, and I could barely get my SRMs to hit him. I had to switch over to fire both at the same time in order to even do enough damage to justify him as a target. I'd estimate that maybe 1-2 missiles out of the 4 even reached him on chainfire, with the rest being shot down.

SRMs seem to like being launched in a big death cloud.

I would be amazingly surprised if what you say is true, I have never seen anyone's AMS turn on when I fire SRMs, but your conviction has made it so now I will test to find out and confirm my beliefs.

Distance matters a lot. The AMS doesn't have time to engage SRMs that are fired at face hugging distances, but shoot down SRMs much more effectively past 200m. It's one of the reasons I'm not crazy about SRM range buffs, as they get shot down often before even reaching the intended target.

Further proof of AMS shooting down unguided missiles is with NARC. Some players will utilize dual NARC to overwhelm AMS.

A: I don't believe that for a second, nobody in their right mind would dual Narc to counter AMS...
B: I utilise dual Narc so I can Narc more things at once. =]

I love PPCs and look forward to their revival for clan. With clan quirks on the horizon, I see the adder as one of the newly crowned princes of hurling the shiny ********** of doom towards the enemy along with Summoner.

The Warhawk, king of PPCs, will make his return and I will have a difficult decision to either stay with the wubwubwub or ascend the throne.

*apparently the color blue is not allowed to be paired with ball(s) even though it is accurately describing the PPCs of yore in MW2

Believe me, the only way to reliably NARC one of those pesky kitfoxes with 3xAMS is dual NARC. The 2nd missile usually gets past the AMS so your LRM boats can remove ECM from the equation.

Are you sure?
I've been narcing people with my narcfox for about 900 matches now... never saw their AMS shoot one mid flight.

Either that or the narc beacon itself has high amount of HP that goes past AMS.

Why would they buff the Warhawk, it's already a tier 1 mech. Stop exaggerating.

Also... (apart from broken Jump animation and hitboxes), timers/crows are not that OP as you might think. Stop feathering your JJs (you do it like crazy ultimatum) and you will understand.

There is no point in playing this event....

the Adders is the worse mech in the game by a long shot....

Yea, lots of peeps exploit it and then cry about how OP the mech is.

Very funny to me....The exploit is op. Try running a TBR with no jj's. Its cheating and using exploits to get a leg up on peeps. No different then finding exploits in the game other ways IMO.

4 x LRM-5 (b)Adder is actually pretty good. Just don't expect it to perform the same role as some other Light, because it's not good at that role.

My favorite Stormcrow build is 4 x LRM-5 and 2 x CERLL. I get the most use out of the LRMs on that build, which means this (b)Adder build is functionally very similar. It's extremely mobile, has a very low profile which makes it somewhat stealthy, and can put LRMs where the enemy really isn't expecting them to be. LRM suppression done correctly is a huge benefit to your team.

But if you're looking for another FS-9A clone... this isn't it.
