is anyone else having this problem? ive been having it off an on all day and some of last night.

I press the f button to center, and my mech starts spinning uncontrollably.

is this a known issue?
if not what section does it go in?

Yes its known.
They broke it adding support for urbie, tried to rush patch, broke it in other ways.
I think they have it as pretty high priority.

Is this button really helpful? I can't really make up a situation during which I would like to press that button...

i depends on how you get used to playing i guess. I played all other MW games with joystick pedals and throttle. It took a couple of weeks to get used to keyboarding it (i like it better) for this game. I got used to it.

if im twisting to follow a moving target, constant applications of the F key keep me from ever hitting the end of my twist, plus applying it at the right time works like letting out the clutch on a dirt bike. I love my F key

Add me to this bug. My HBK-4J does this and only that mech does it.

Very annoying.

I noticed if you Alt + Tab and click back on MWO, it will fix it. I have had it happen a few times.

Kitfox, Stormcrow, Hunchbacks (all of them afaik) are the ones I know of so far.

I have this too, on my Stormcrows and Griffins. It seems to happen on mechs with a wide torso twist.

Known issue that was introduced with the Feb 17th patch. Been several posts about it and one hotfix already - http://mwomercs.com/...-today-1000-am/

It's not broken, it's a feature! It's the new automatic derpspindamagespread™ button.
