Yeah. See how you got 5, and I have so many more. Gaze upon my works ye mighty, and despair.

Enforcers seem to have really (really really) nice hitboxes, they can tank like crazy in every fight I've run into them.

PSA: When a thread like this happens, check the following before replying:
  • Check OP's number of posts. If suspiciously low...
  • Check OP's star rating, if he has one. If he doesn't...
  • Check OP's join date
If he or started playing about a month ago, congratulations. You've solved the mystery. Modify your response accordingly.

@OP: Welcome to MWO. Due to the nature of our flawed matchmaker, you'll sometimes encounter very good or very bad players. This may lead you to the impression that some mechs are OP and others are UP. Apply a scientific mindset and try to avoid confirmation bias.

I like this guy's thought process.

There is a Jump Jetting Dire Wolf with 50 tons of guns and laser beams on it's head.

"Enforcer OP".

Haha I destroyed five mechs in under 20 seconds at the end of a match using arrow last night, arrow is op lol.

Please ignore the fact that when I found them they were huddled in a group and all beat up, I set apon them with 3x LPL and they fell like dominoes :)

I've seen a Mist Lynx kill a Stalker, Atlas, and a Raven as the last man standing in a match. It was a truly glorious thing to spectate from the pov of the mist lynx pilot, but it is not evidence of any superiority on the Mist Lynx's part.

That's nothing, I've spectated a Myst Lynx taking down a Stalker, King Crab, Atlas, and then a Timber Wolf.

The star rating is pretty meaningless, as it's based purely upon people going to your profile and clicking on one. You can get a low star rating just by p***ing off a couple of opinionated jerks. Similarly, a handful of jackwagons could all have high star ratings by basically do the equivalent of a d-bag group high-five.

Welcome to the "*mech* is OP" serious series of thread titles, where the OP got destroyed (or watched the destruction) by the newly added mech.

Just wonderful.
Because Pay2Win, amirite?

Seriously, these posts annoy me.

Player sees another wrecking face/is wrecked by that player: "That mech is OP!"
Player sees another perform badly: "That player sucks. Elo fail."

Its like people are physically incapable of acknowledging another player doing well (or, God forbid, better than them!) But they don't hesitate to blame them if things go wrong.

It's easier to blame everything else "you feel you have no control over" than blaming yourself.

Sometimes, I'd like to weep for humanity.

I've seen a spider 5d do it, back before ECM and ERPPC were nerfed. Fantastic light pilot kept kiting, jumping and dodging and just twitched off ERPPC shots till everyone was dead. His screen was a blur he was moving like a mad man in all directions, but also running away the whole time while shooting over his shoulder staying around 600m out.

just once, I want to see a threat where the op's first assumption seeing something like this is "wow, I just saw this guy do this awesome thing!" Rather than "hax!" Or "OP!"

Even if they have to blame, they could at least show a little respect when someone does something well.

*sighs*

They don't mean much, but most of the trolls on the forum tend to end up with 1 star sooner or later. ...

Impossible!

I just found out about this and to my dismay, I got 3 stars. Where can I give them back? I´m trying my best to be a good troll, yet the stars won´t go away!

The stars work in mysterious ways. They have a plan for you, my child. It's not your place to second-guess the stars!

Plain as that.

I have just seen an enforcer destroy a stalker, a commando a trebuchet all by himself as the last mech in a fight.
Can't be right,

I'm no Enforder owner (or lover), but: OMG dat obvious whine thread.

I have .. let's see ... killed 2 TBR in a row with a SCR.
I have killed an enemy mech with a glance of a single light laser.
I have killed a brand new Jagermech with the first Laser TBR alpha strike. (<Unreal Tournament Voice>HEADSHOT!</Unreal Tournament Voice>)
I have killed a DWF with an AC2 Nova, no sweat.
All just recently.

It's not OP (most probably not even skill *couch*).
It's called "luck". Headshots. Criticals. And very often just finishing blows.

If you really want to make a claim using argument like that, here is what you have to do:

Make 10, better 100 test games under reproducable circumstances with equally skilled and unbiased pilots.
Record all of them.
If the enforcer really kills those three mechs in significantly more test runs than what would be expected, then come back and make your OP claim.

Otherwise, eat some candy and cool down.

At least you used "OP" instead of the moronic misused "meta" term.
+1 for that :-)

I promise I will do my best to become the bestest PokeMech-Master there ever was!

Treb-Mon I choose you!
... Oi! ... Oh shait! ... what are you doing to Treb-Mon??? That doesn´t fit in there!!!

ENF-4R - excellent killer. ENF-5D - passable. ENF-5P horribly short on hardpoints.and build options. (basically a PiTA to build without XL.)

why would you build one without an XL?

So that it has the speed of a heavy or the firepower of a light, or a bit of both? ;)

Oh wait...
