I’m Tina, your new Community Manager!
I really look forward to getting to know everyone; I’ve been excited all week to say Hello! I am positive that we will get along great!
Your feedback/suggestions/wants/dreams/frustrations/happiness is all most important to me as I will be expressing them to the team, therefore I am all ears (or eyes rather) for you!
I would also love to hear the community’s thoughts on what your ideal community and/or community manager is like to you! Please share on this thread and feel free to ask questions too!
A little bit about my past, I have worked as a Community Manager for the game SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online and a children’s online virtual world called Petra’s Planet.
You will most often find me on the forums and the social media channels, I also collect your suggestions which you send to feedback@piranhagames.com (You may not receive a response here though, it’s for collection purposes so please don’t send support related issues!)
Now let’s hear you!
Regards,
Tina Benoit

Really happy to have a Community Manager around here again.
Actually I'm pretty excited haha.
A little about me:
I’m mostly in general discussion and feature suggestions; I play devil’s advocate and think of really great ideas that trump all others(lol). I’ve an outstanding sense of humour.
Also, I’ve hosted a Marauder art contest to try and convince/inspire PGI to redesign the Marauder, and two giveaways (PC gamer code giveaway, and Urbanmech giveaway).
I used to make signatures for people, and made one for our previous Community Manager, but it has since been difficult to fit that stuff in lately.
Fun fact: I have an Island Cockpit item on my wishlist.
Quick edit:
What I'd like to see from a Community Manager is mainly interaction on the forums. Specifically in New Player, General Discussion, Community Warfare, and Patch Feedback subforums.
There's been quite a few posts that have been left unanswered or would have benefitted greatly with a response. We do our best as a community, but sometimes all we have to go off of is Russ's twitter, or most often nothing at all.
I'd really like to see some kind of interaction with the community about what we'd like to see included or changed in the new mechlab UI... or atleast some screenshots and updates. Last time we had UI2.0 on the test server, the only feedback that we felt was taken into concideration was bugs/glitches. It's a click fest and poorly organized, which is something I know myself spent some time going in depth with at the time. But thankfully it's getting another revamp, and I'm looking forward to it!
Thanks!

I think the first thing you can do ... is when Russ Tweets about something, you Post it on here ASAP too!

Your past work will come in handy here. Anyone hoping to work with this community will need some experience dealing with children. Lol

This then for me might return some credibility and control to the idea that posting behaviour will be judged on content overall as opposed to groups being able to influence moderation against an individuals capability to represent their opinions on the forums. Especially moreso when the context of those opinions are represented within the RP context of the game and not essentially player related.
Otherwise congratulations and sympathies.

Exactly this.
Some of the people at PGI tend to ignore the forums and give info only on twitter or the podcast they do. It would be great if you could collect it and post it on the forums too.
And welcome to the MWO community!
