If I were to go by what I was told by the last two community managers, I'm a name you'll be hearing about a lot from both players and moderators (for hopefully positive reasons). I'm certain there's a number of other names you'll also get familiar with as well.

Just thought of something that you might be able to help with.

We used to have a list of user-made guides and tutorials that was pinned in the New Player Help thread, separated into three categories (Getting Started, Basic Knowledge, and Strategies or somesuch like that). It was started by one of the former (and admittedly my favorite) moderators before the separation of the Publisher and Developer.

In new hands, it was left but unmaintained, and now it seems to be deleted.

It was a solid way to combine resources for new players in a one-stop-shop's easily accessible location by providing links to each relevant thread's guide/tutorial/etc, complete with a short summary and author credit for each.

I'm hoping that we might see this again.

Hi Tina,
Welcome!

My first request is that the MWO forums here become the primary outlet for all news regarding MWO. Even stuff that goes out over reddit, facebook, etc... should also be posted here so that we have ONE place where we can go to get this information. I know that will give the multi-media trolls less collecting to do, but it would help everyone else find new - and old - information much faster.

I can't echo the concerns about the Forums being the official source for news, events, content announcements, etc.enough.

There are many times, Reddit or Twitter gets the news before the forums.
