Which mech/s do you pilot despite their disfavor with the community?
Mine:

Highlander HM (withe an XL! )
Gargoyle

Tough one...

My Gargoyle has the curious distinction of being my highest kill/death ratio mech, prompting me to consider taking it back out again. My GAR-D has 45 kills to 8 deaths for a 5.63 KDR. It's most likely because of the two energy hardpoints in the CT, allowing me to do an asymmetrical 6xMPL build. Deadly, quick, repeated 48 damage alphas result in much slag. And all in the big doughboy!

Other than that, my taste doesn't stray far from the usual... I like Blackjacks and Locusts however, especially Blackjacks.

I probably need to find a crappy mech and make it my own.

I may not be top damage dealer in the match but hell I am having fun ripping component off with (ER)PPC and MPL.

Mine were the thunderbolts before the quirkening. Now its probably nova, mainly due to its awesome looks and the almighty power of clan small pulse alphas.

For a while I was running around non-stop in an fs9-k with 8 flamers. People hated it - I'd be having a hilariously good time and they'd be pissed that they were overheating. I didn't do it to be useful, I didn't do it because i thought that they were awesome, I did it because it was fun. Doing so actually stopped me from quitting mwo entirely (I went through a period where I took MWO WAY too seriously).


I also have a great time in a 12jj sdr-5v occasionally. I just head into it thinking about how fun 12jj are.

Probably my Flame (AC/10, 4x MPL is a nice fun-build), it's something with playing the underdog... no pressure, all fun!

Also developed a soft spot for Summoner with 2x LB5's and 4x MLs, Mist Lynx and the Adder.

Another sort of pleasure is taking the lynx, nova or badder... out-damaging direwolves in them.... and imagining their face when they see the end match screen !

I can agree with the Gargoyle. I have fun running my D with 12 CPL, have messed around with 12 CERSL for the 5 mroe DHS as well.

Same for Nova but I run both a 12 CERSL and 12 CSPL one.

My unit hates the LRMs, but I love them, so often run LRM boats when I play by myself to avoid the whine.
