I was thinking there has been many that hate or just dislike some maps and I figured since we can chose what game mode we want to opt out that we should also be able to opt out up to three maps and or times such as night or day fights.

I figured this would allow people to avoid maps they dislike or hate and though it may take MM longer to find people it may also allow it to find people faster for other maps.

just a thought everyone.

that idea was raised multiple times now ... it was a bad idea right from the start and did not get any better ...

It would allow people to use mech builds specialized for specific maps - which would make the game pretty boring and also really fustrating for many people.

You don't believe that? Try CW as a pug-player - you'll see many people using specialized builds because of the very limited tactical options on CW-maps - just think about the TDR-TS9 - that was no problem in standard-matches cause there have been only very few ... in CW-matches people sometimes had full teams of TDR-TS9s ....

thats just one example ... if you want more just look at all the complains about zerg-rushes, crow-rushes ....

I don't like night fighting nor the swamp. it has nothing to do with my build I just don't like them and its getting to the point that I am getting close to just quieting those maps before it even starts.

and I don't like that thought because I don't like leaving teammates high and dry so having the map choice option would keep me from leaving.

to be honest its only the city night fight(Not the HPG map) and swamp map and those would be the only two I would skip out on nothing more.
