http://mwomercs.com/...e-universe-out/

This kind of thread would be great for a wiki, though I don't know why mwomercs.com wouldn't want to host it.

Just to be on the safe side, are there any concerns about copyrights?

If artwork from mwomercs ends up on this wiki, is that going to be a problem?

Chris 'Lynx' Chapman wrote a fairly extensive history of BattleTech related computer games in the BattleTech 25 Year book (http://www.sarna.net...Art_%26_Fiction).

Chris is actually a member on these forums and is considered one of the greatest 'go to guys' when it comes to the history of the electronic exploitation of BattleTech.

He worked at both for Virtual World Entertainment and FASA Interactive and was indeed one of the pilots in 'MechCommander'

If you have access to that book, it would be a great starting off point of reference to put your site together,

I know, as being invested into the IP, it gets very frustrating when Wikis neglect some of the lesser known products in the name of expediency (laziness). I look forward to seeing your comprehensive Wiki take shape.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'll be adding a lot of information from MW4 Vengeance and Mercenaries in a couple of weeks when I'm not so busy, but I seem to have lost my MW2 and MW3 discs so I won't be able to do much on those until I can buy new copies from somewhere.

I have a question myself though. I'm going to be adding a section to allow teams to host pages on the wiki, but what's the correct terminogy for them? In FPSs they are often called clans, but that has different meaning here. In other MMOs they would be called guilds, but that doesn't really sound right. It needs to be one word that would encompass all sizes of both Inner Sphere and Clan units, so regiment, cluster, etc. wouldn't work as they're very specific.

Edit: Just re-reading what I typed something popped out at me. What about simply 'unit'?

Either merc unit or corps, because despite what people will call themselves they'll be mercs according to the devs.
