Do you address clan mechs by the same name us claners do? So like the timber wolf, do you guys just call it the timber wolf, or do you address it as mad cat?

Timber Wolf/Mad Cat = That God Damn Thing Over There
Daishi/Dire Wolf = That Big God Damn Thing Over There
Stromcrow/Ryoken = That God Damn Thing Over Here.

I use:
-Myth Lynx
-Cute Fox
-Badder
-**** Weasel
-Nova
-Scrow
-Mad Doge
-Hellby
-Summoner
-Timberwolf
-Gargles
-PeaceDove
-"X" Whale (where X is either Spam, Gigaspike, Alpha, or Cheese depending on what's on it)

Also, ignore the CJF tag. I'm mostly an IS player on our contract with CJF for CW.

I'm a Clan/Is pilot so I don't know if my opinion counts, but I refer to them:

Lynx
Adder
Fox

Ferret
Nova
Crow

Maddog
Loki
Summoner
Timberwolf/Wolf

Gargoyle
Hawk
Whale.

I guess I didn't play enough of the right games to learn the Clan names for them?

I use whatever name they have in the Mech Bay/battle display.

I consider myself both Clan and Inner Sphere but I refer to them all by their Clan names, though I have found I sometimes have a tendancy to accidentally call the Kit Fox the Uller... not sure why that one specifically causes me some trouble.

However, the "Ebon Jaguar" will always and forever be the Cauldron-Born to me. When only one faction calls it Ebon Jaguar, and that faction is doomed to destruction anyways, and Cauldron-Born is a much better name anyways... yeah... if they don't change the ingame name to Cauldron-Born before it releases I will be making use of the 'rename' feature in the mechlab for the first time ever.

I tend to default to the IS designations. Sometimes, though, people on VOIP don't know the two and want the one that shows on the targeting computer, so I try to use that.

I'm going to call the Ebon-Jaguar the Ebony Jaguar, I think it sounds better than both its names and flows a lot better than both too.

It depends. I use whatever name comes to mind first, generally speaking. However, I do tend to call them by their MWO names for simplicity's sake. Since I often drop with newer pilots, I don't want to confuse them by saying "Focus fire on the Daishi!" and then have them looking around for a Daishi while the Dire Wolf is ROFLstomping their newb butt.

I... use a particularly vile and awesome expletive to preface all my Clan mechs.

____Cat.
____Crow.
____Wolf.

Good times :)

I call all of them by their clan names except for the Cauldron Born, because it's dumb and Ebon Jaguar sounds better.

Cauldron Born, what is it a Goulash?

I believe its a kind of Zombie originating in Europe.

Also I prefer Ebony Jaguar, simply because Ebon sounds silly and feels like an abrupt stop for no reason.

play to many elder scrolls games I guess.

Stormcrow
T/Wolf
Maddog
Jesusbringer
direwhale

all the others don't really matter as you don't see them often enough to really care / feel threatened enough to really care.

90% of the time if you see kitfox / adder / nova / summoner / warhawk you are in the pug queue, and its useless to talk to pugs anyway. (gargoyle, ferret, mysty deliberately left out, as honestly when do you ever see any of them. I see more commandos than I see gargoyles, so GG anyone who paid for those trash heaps)

Shadow Cat = Scat. You heard it here first, folks. ;)

Whether that alludes to a form of extremely fast rapping, or the consumption of excrement, it is up to your imagination.

I use all the Clan names because I was raised a Wolf in MW2. This pup is all grown up though and I fight for both sides. My crew alternates between Clan Wolf and Davion.
