I apologize if this is the wrong section to post this in, but I had to get this off my chest!
Started in a Raven 3L in a light lance on alpine peaks; Skirmish Mode. Our objective was to flank the enemy as they went to the mountain. We succeeded in taking out a couple scout mechs, then encountered a lone dire wolf. He took a couple of us out but we fell the 100 tonner in the end.
This is where it gets good.
The only two mechs left were me and another Raven 3L (I'd name him, but I heard thats against policy?). We had both been legged by an excellent firestarter pilot after we fought the direwolf. The Game score was 10 to 6.
We knew we had no hope. We were in a good position at the flank of the enemies mountain, but we couldn't move. The six enemy mechs were slowly traversing down the mountain. Our ER Large Lasers chipped away at the enemy, but it wasn't enough firepower to take out the fresh mechs leading the enemy lance.
Then the other pilot barely holding on to life said: "I think this is it brother, Goodbye."
Everything slowly faded to black.
We lost, but it was probably the most enjoyable game I've been in. And it was a pug!

One of the best things about this game, is that win or lose, pug or 12 man, you always have 'that' match that has a great story behind it.

Good job taking out a couple of scout mechs with ERLLs.
