One week later...
Looks like Clan Wolf is the winner
overall, considering their votes had to split based on the canon. Nineteen votes for its current incarnation, though, still makes it a strong runner. No surprises there, Clan Wolf is the Clan equivalent of House Davion

Even the future Wolf-in-Exile gets thirteen, and the Crusader Wolves have ten.
More interesting is the Jade Falcons having TWENTY-THREE votes so far... Not bad, fellas! I actually expected either Wolf or Ghost Bear to beat you guys out, since the JF are so strongly painted as the "bad guys" in the lore for their staunch traditionalism. I'm not complaining, mind - I think it's fantastic that the most passionately Crusader-oriented Clan (aside from, possibly, the Smoke Jaguars) is so popular. This gives a lot of weight to the idea that once the Clans invade in MW:O, we're going to see the game evolving drastically to accommodate the players' wishes and interests. It also suggests that the majority of the players interested in the Clan side of things are, in fact,
NOT into it solely for the upgraded tech. The Jade Falcons are possible the best example of all that embodies the Clans, and their popularity shown in this poll suggests that people want to play the Clans for their lore more than for their tech advantage.
Clan Ghost Bear also has a strong following, which again is not surprising... Their focus on family loyalty, their eventual absorption into the Inner Sphere, and the fact that their general image and culture is just cool period, surely draws a lot of BT fans to them. Smoke Jaguars had a strong start, even leading the JF for a short while, but they now trail behind at seven votes. The Star Adders threaten to usurp them with six votes, and even Clan Widowmaker comes close with five.
I'm still surprised that the Goliath Scorpions aren't more popular. They've only acquired one vote so far! And the same goes for the Wolverines, I expected their underdog, kinda-democratic-values backstory to attract more people. I also thought the Ice Hellions would get at least a couple of votes, although none of them would have been mine
