I noticed that especially with PPCs and ERPPCs before. When you chainfire them in quick succession you have some of them not registering. Now, playing with my Dragon (no phun intended) and my Wolvering which have both AC5 quirks i notice the same.

Even stationary targets often have the first volley but not the second registered. In form of red crosshair feedback and actual damage.

So, might it be that with the new quirks and the upgraded level 5 modules the weapons fire too fast for the current code instead of it being a "lag" problem?
After all, the Wolverine has 57% cooldown improvement on the AC5s and the Dragon 67% once mastered with modules.

It seems to me that if hit registration is bad, it will be worst for PPCs.
But, tonight I'm also noticing bad hit registration with autocannons. AC/10 and AC/5 are disappointing me on shots that I know should hit.

It's even bad in the Testing Grounds.

About an hour ago I was testing a build with 2 AC/5s, and I realized that my crosshairs turned red and indicated a hit for my left gun, but not for my right gun. The Fatlas target just ate shots, so I stopped using the right gun.

Someone else commented on it in a match, so I know it's not just me.

Sometimes it seems we need to use the force to get hits with certain weapons, and not trust what we see.

For example, I occasionally do a back and forth zorro sweep with lasers to deal damage.

With hitreg not being client-side, it's hard to tell what's *really* happening. But it's entirely possible that the rapid-firing weapons have hitreg issues. I've been wondering if my LPLs and ACs are working correctly.

I go to the Testing Grounds often enough to know hit reg on my Enforcers is crap.
The ENF-5P is the worst.
If I put 2 cannons on it, one of them hardly ever registers. Past a certain range, neither registers.

So, I changed the armament to the biggest laser available, and one cannon.
...And the hit registration is still inconsistent.
If I fire the cannon too soon after the LPL, my crosshairs don't turn red, telling me the AC/10 didn't register.

Re the Wolvie and Dragon rapid fire AC 10-

I've done trial ground tests with them. The right number of shots de armors the Awesome (60 stock CT armor, takes 6 shots to remove the armor). While the crosshairs don't react to every hit (because the reaction effect takes longer than it does for more damage to be applied), it is doing the right amount of damage.

Not saying there isn't any HSR issues in actual game play, but relying on crosshair feedback isn't a reliable way to tell if you did damage or not.

I get this on my ddc with its PPC's, you see the hit, but the feedback doesnt happen until like a second or two later.. ..probably ping? I am a high ping player @ 240, so a second delay sounds about right..

Like Mirumoto said.... if you're rapid firing some ballistic or PPC weapons, the crosshair won't light up everytime, but you will be getting damage done.

Not sure why they programmed it like this, but if you look at the percent of enemy armor left in testing grounds as you rapid fire, it is changing appropriately.

From extensive reviewing of recorded footage, it looks like if your second ppc hits while the doll is still flashing from the first one, it might not reg, but if you completely wait til the doll stops flashing it'll reg. Consistently repeatable, even in the testing grounds.
