Wolfhound

I think it's safe to say that it's time and totally feasible to include this mech in MWO.

PGI can "invent" another variant like they did for the Enforcer to meet the requirement.

PGI can make each unique via hardpoints and quirks that each can stand on their own merit.

PGI can make money with the Hero variant(s) in both Dan Allard and Phelan Kell (pre and post Clan).

It's the Ying to the Panther's Yang.

You know you want one. :)

Well, its hardpoints would beat the Panther at least...

Historically, it was designed by House Davion to be a Panther killer. I'd love it if Wolfhounds made it into MWO. The triumvirate of my favorite TT light mechs would be complete: Firestarter, Panther, Wolfhound.

seeing the philosophy of this mech which means totally all energy, I doubt you can build 3 meaningful variants that play at least a bit different.

hardpoint inflation and quirks ok, but in the end you have 4-6 E-points distributed over arm and torso. and no JJ...

Wolfhound wrecks in MechCommander2. One of the few IS mechs ever worth keeping in any campaign in that game. :)

You mean designed by House Steiner in conjunction with House Davion to hunt Panthers and Jenners.

There's only two real variants of the Wolfhound in this time period. The others are all small field variations that can be and probably will be, done in the mech lab.

PGI would have to create a 3rd variant with something wacky on it, like ballistics or missiles. They did it with the ENF-5P, so the door's open for that sort of thing.

As an old TT player who's had BT in my life for 30 years, I'd love it if we had more historical hero mechs. We've had a bunch of new ones PGI created (Huginn, Sparky etc). I'd love it if we saw Phalen Kell's Wolfhound.

Yeah yeah yeah.. Hanse wore the pants in that relationship.

The problem with that is that his Wolfie is actually the Wolfhound IIC, which uses Clan tech. It's also a Battlemech instead of an Omnimech like our existing Clan robots, probably entailing different construction rules...

But the enforcer is in a weird way fitting because the other two had E and B weapons, too.

The wolfhound on the other hand is E only... and on top of it, the hero mech will be made up, too so half the variants are purely made up by PGI.

Yes! We need the Wolfhound! How else am I going to defend mah homeplanet?

I've said I'm not interested in mech packs, but a Wolfhound, Bushwacker, Axman, Mauler package would have be reaching for the credit card real fast.
