I am a grown man, confident in myself and my life, enough at least to realize that MWO is small beans in the grand scheme, and anyone who has the time and passion enough to make a site such as that to "prove a point" should be pitied. So I pity them, just as I pity twitter trolls and people who attend anti-gay rallies, etc etc

same boat. Nothing else to do with themselves than try to project their misery on others to gain some kind of superficial feeling of superiority.

but hey, they can devote all the time they want to pining about how PGI ruined their... life? Made them sad? Oh dear. In the real world you can't always get what you want, no matter how entitled and self-serving you are. Tough lessons to learn for kids who have been raised to think they are the world's most precious little flower.

Now youre on an island. When people come in and are like **** this and **** that and screw you PGI thats one thing, when people put forth immense effort for something they care about, thats good. Even if its a little rough around the edges.

You banning all those people is why we ended up in this situation in the first place, where after all this time, most of PGIs decisions and direction can be looked back on as a failure.

Even by PGI.

Thats why we all got unbanned and why you arent moderating anymore and they moved on to Twitter and just stopped talking to us. Because the island exists, and you knuckleheads have inhabited it for 4 years until you figured out, man the community was right, lets unban them, ditch IGP, buy the license ahead till 2020, and do what people want, shove out mech packs to keep us from going under and maybe, just maybe if we rush CW out the door, people wont leave.

I never banned anyone! I usually set them to moderator preview, during my time as a moderator, but mostly I simply wrote warnings. And I didn't do it for an opinion. I never punished someone for that, only for rule violations. If someone is so maniacal, that he no longer cares about rules, that was the last option I had left.

Even the moderation preview had to be sanctioned by a GM later on. The GMs were also the ones who did the banning. No volunteer moderator in MWO ever had the ability to ban someone.

So please keep your wrongfull accusation to yourself!

Stop white knighting. PGI made a huuuuuge list of mistakes, and I promise you has an internal work flow timeline that theyd never publish. Kudos to the guy who put this together. Its information and history. Thats always good. Anyone can look at this now and see what happened, where things went wrong, where work flow shut down or slowed down and why, time it takes between a problem coming up and being fixed. Theres so much valuable information this guy has put together for a plethora of people, that hating on it is like hating on the Dead Sea Scrolls or Flavius.

Its just information. People like compiling information. It may seem dubious to you, but perhaps that says something about you as well?

Do I think PGI has done a good job?

I'd say decent, for something that hasn't had a good showing in the Video Game world for a long time. I would also go so far as to say, they might have bitten off a bit more than they can chew right now, but as I keep telling my Toddler, smaller bites.

And that is the route I think they are taking now, smaller bites. I would love to see them finish CW, and devote 100% of their resources to it, but that would be silly, they need to make money, and since this is a F2P, that has to be done with mech packs, and I am willing to bet more than 50% of their revinew comes from mech packs.

I have also noticed that when a new mech(s) is comming out, the Q/A department seems to get a little sloppy with finding bugs, but a little time after, the get them ironed out, as new ones crop up, they take steps to correct them. For now I am content to wait and see where this goes, but to everyone jumping on the PGI hate waggon, take a step back and think about any massive project you have ever done, that has had unforseen problems crop up, and give PGI a little understanding.

I like how people who weren't even around for 2013 see this and get so upset about something we already dealt with and feel the need to pick up torches and pitchforks.
A lot of us let it go, I was moderated many times even, banned at one point.
And I have let all that **** go, I don't hold any of that against PGI and that's why I continue to support this game.
If you're determined to sit there and be mad you're going to be mad.
