The timberwolf is way too flat on the back side. That is my only issue with it.

So every now and then... in my search for stuff I find little gems, like the cluster-duck of Japanese Battletech designs (which are incredibly different from Western BT's designs). Oddly enough the Vindicator still gets a pot belly and the Dragon, holy crap that chest.
Anyway..
Here's a new gem. While it's not one of the official arts, I found someone's drawing of the Japanese-version of the Timber Wolf.
o.O;
Figured I'd share it directly with you...'cause there's a Shadowcat in my mechbay.

Not really... actually we make grammar {Godwin's Law} jokes here, too. On the other side, germans have no humor and get offended by people who can't park their car correctly...
But how the fox can you be "mostly" german?

Shadow Cat was and hopefully will be one badass medium it is! (No, I dont care for the stormcrow)
And, then theres the Cougar, still waiting... That was my favorite omni light mech of all time!

However, the Center torso-Area looks a bit... hmm.. it looks not very aggressive.
The Cockpit gives me the impression it belongs to a machine, like an excavator or a forklift, rather then a BattleMech.
The Cockpit of the original table top game looked far more aggressive to me.
Took the liberty to slightly rework the Cockpit-Window.
I am not quite satisfied with it.
Plus i am not certain if I or anyone else would be happy to have two struts in their field of view.
What i totally like though is the additional window on top of the cockpit - nice for looking up in case you suspect an enemy UAV somewhere above you.
The knees look different too - the ones at Alex' Shadow Cat look more.. robust.
I'm fine with this change.
But the cockpit could use a bit more love.. just a ~tiny~ bit.
Apart from that it's just perfect - thumps up!

I hope the modelers can match it!
I like the stock art on the legs better...these seem a bit thick, especially in the Thighs. But all in all, pretty nice...hardpoints should be boss!

Gonna hope that this is the invasion geometry, and the stock variants have claw hands. Especially since this one has rounded calves like all the past invasion mechs.
why would it have claw hands? Can't think of any art that has that.....

it looks good, but why is it the mechs that are supposed to have thin legs (MDD/SHD) have fat legs, and the ones that are supposed to have the really chunky fat legs (WHK, DWF) dont....WHK and DWF should pretty muhc have fatter legs then they do torsos....and defs the WHK.

If the model is translated like that it will have amazing hardpoint placement, and possibly good hitboxes. Plus ECM, holy moly.
This package looks more worth it every time I look at it, I'm at Cauldron born tier now, not convinced about the Executioner enough to do the full pack yet.
Edit: and personally I think the legs are perfect.
